The Veil Brewing brews with Hawaiian Punch in ‘Never Aloha’
Think tropical. Think about that impossibly red kids drink that stained everything and got the entire kindergarten class wired. The Veil Brewing Never Aloha, a new gose might come close.
This beer is all bout Hawaii. The Richmond, Virginia brewer used the Hawaiian sea salt, a necessary ingredient in gose as a part of the base beer. Not tropical enough for you? Next is hundreds of pounds of of passionfruit, pineapple, mango, blood orange, and cherry purée.
The finishing move: a touch of Hawaiian Punch drink mix. Yeah, they’ve gone there. Over the top trop(ical).
The Veil Brewing Never Aloha debuts today at the brewery in 16 ounce cans. Just don’t wear a white shirt when cracking the can.
Style: Gose (w/ Passionfruit, Pineapple, Mango, Blood Orange, Cherries. Hawaiian Punch.)

Big on fruit. Heavy Seas TropiCannon now year-round
Heavy Seas TropiCannon has returned to the brewery’s lineup once again. This time, year-round.
Loosely based on the brewery’s Loose Cannon IPA, Heavy Seas TropiCannon is hoppy, with a blast of tropical and citrus fruits. The brewing team introduces dried grapefruit, oranges and lemons during the brewing process, and mango, blood oranges and grapefruit post-fermentation. While Loose Cannon is heavy on the piney hop flavor, Heavy Seas boosts the citrus flavor by swapping Centennial and Palisade hops for Amarillo.
“TropiCannon was a pleasant surprise for us in 2016. It was originally planned as a limited release product, but so many people kept asking for it that we decided we needed to make it available on a year-round basis. At least for now. This is part of what makes the beer industry so fun!” – Hugh Sisson, brewery founder.
Heavy Seas TropiCannon is available in 12 ounce bottles and draft. A release party is planned at the brewery in Baltimore, Maryland on December 16th.
Style: IPA (w/ Mango, Lemons, Blood Orange, Grapefruit.)
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. Year-round

Samuel Adams Rebel Juiced IPA debuts
Samuel Adams Rebel Juiced debuts today, Halloween 2016.
Bold tropical hops are the focus of this latest addition to the Boston brewery’s lineup. If Mosaic, Mandarina, and Zeus hops don’t do the trick, the brewery adds a touch of mango puree for an extra burst of juice.
At 55 IBUs, the hop varieties below were selected for the tropical aromas and juicy flavors they impart rather than for their bitterness. Zeus hops were used in the kettle and the Mosaic & Mandarina hops were used to dry hop.
Samuel Adams Rebel Juiced debuts on October 31st on draft nationally starting today. 12 ounce bottles will follow in January, 2017.

Wicked Weed Metatropics a collaboration with Trois Dames debuts
Wicked Weed Metatropics, a collaboration with Switzerland based Trois Dames, debuts in bottles.
Collaborations have been frequent from Wicked Weed lately. The brewery released “Juiceless” a collaboration with Georgia’s Creature Comforts (an IPA brewed with zero fruit). Additionally, a beer geek panic inducing collaboration with Jester King is on the horizon.
Wicked Weed Metatropics might be the complete opposite of everything that the Juiceless collaboration actually is. Why? this India pale ale boasts a healthy dose of tropical fruits – pineapple, grapefruit, passionfruit, and mango. Wicked Weed throws out words like meta, and deconstructed, in the description.
Wicked Weed Metatropics is a collaboration beer that flips current IPA methodology on it’s head. Wicked Weed and Trois Dames love using hops to produce an equatorial, citrusy character, but decided to deconstruct this process to forge something new. This beer employs real pineapple, passionfruit, mango and grapefruit to emulate tropical hop flavors. The addition of Brettanomyces wild yeast takes this beer to new heights of meta refreshment.
Wicked Weed Metatropics is a 500 milliliter bottle release, as well as draft. Limited distribution starts the week of October 17th.
Style: American Wild Ale (w/ Mango, Grapefruit, Passionfruit, Pineapple.)
Availability: 500ml Bottles
Debut: Mid-October, 2016

Wicked Weed Genesis returns after a year
Wicked Weed Genesis has returned to the Asheville, North Carolina brewery’s lineup. It has been about a year since the beer was last released.
Over 200 pounds of papaya, mango, guava, and pineapple are used to create Wicked Weed Genesis, which is aged in white wine barrels 6-12 months.
In the first days, everything was black, barren, void of meaning. Life hid in the shadows and was kept at bay by nothingness. In the world’s stillest moment, a thunderous crack divided the skies. From the parched rock, water burgeoned forth, spilled over the black mountains and the Spirit Iyapa’s presence was imparted. What began as a whisper turned to a roar of life. Cell by cell, plant by plant, a vibrant world emerged.
Wicked Weed Genesis is a 500 milliliter bottle release. Available at both brewery locations, with limited distribution to follow.
Style: American Wild Ale (w/ Papaya, Pineapple, Guava, Mango. Wine Barrel Aged)
Availability: 500ml Bottles, Draft. Limited.
Latest Return: Early July, 2016
