Hi-Wire Tropical Fruit Golden Ale heads to full distribution this month.
This 11.3% alcohol by volume strong ale is brewed with Citra hops and a hefty amount of Guava, papaya, and mango during secondary fermentation.
This high octane beer is deceptively drinkable, allowing big fruit flavors to mask the heat of this dank & sticky beer that does not taste anywhere near 11.3%
Hi-Wire Tropical Fruit Golden Ale is available in 12-ounce bottles, and draft across the brewery’s entire distribution footprint.
Style: American Strong Ale (Guava. Papaya. Mango.
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft.
Debut: April 2018
SweetWater Tropical Lover rolls off the can in Atlanta as a new seasonal in April.
Nick Burgoyne, brewer at SweetWater has been developing this recipe for some time now. He created a low alcohol by volume Berliner Weisse; adding mango, guava, and passionfruit to the beer. The result was something quite tropical and very refreshing.
“When we put test batches on tap at the Woodlands and in our main taproom, people kept commenting on how drinkable and refreshing it was; they loved the tropical flavors. I imagine Tropical Lover will be a hit with folks hanging out on the water all summer, kicking back with a few daytime drinks.” – Nick B.
SweetWater Tropical Lover will be available in 12-ounce cans and draft starting April 7th. Look for a launch party at the brewery on April 19th.
Terrapin Luau Krunkles, a tropically inspired India pale ale, will be offered year-round in 2018.
“Krunkles” is a fictitious character (perhaps real, depending on who you ask at the brewery) that travels the world looking for new India pale ales. The series has seen releases like Krunkles Down Under (all Aussie & New Zealand hops), Samurai Krunkles, and Dr. Krunkles.
Terrapin Luau Krunkles is inspired by a Hawaiian drink called POG. The beverage is brewed with passionfruit, orange, and guava. (Yes that same drink gave rise to the POG game of the 90’s.) In 2017 when the temperature started to rise, so did Luau Krunkles. The demand for POG is so high, the beer will be offered year-round this year.
Krunkles is back with another world renowned IPA inspired by this time spent on the Hawaiian Islands. Jam packed with tropical flavors of passionfruit, orange and guava, this “Hawaiian IPA” is brewed to accompany you to your next luau.
Ed Note: Luau Krunkles has already been available year-round in the brewery’s IPA Survival Kit
New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Guava Spruce DIPA is a future potential in the brewery’s Voodoo Ranger Series.
In late 2016, New Belgium announced the addition of the Voodoo Ranger Series. IPA, Imperial IPA, 8 Hop joined the series year-round. Earlier this year, Voodoo Ranger added a few “Special Releases” in 22-ounce bottles – Passionfruit Imperial IPA, Red IPA, and Juicy Mandarina IPA.
It looks like New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Guava Spruce DIPA is on the way soon. The India pale ale is brewed with guava and spruce.
This forthcoming release is slated for 16-ounce cans and draft. The brewery has not yet announced this release.
The Veil Brewing Human Adult debuts on September 26th.
This beer is the latest in a series of collaborations with Boston, Massachusetts based Trillium Brewing Company. A few months ago, the group brewed Adult Human at Trillium. That release was an imperial IPA brewed 100% with Citra hops and blood orange puree.
The Veil Brewing Human Adult has been created in the same vein – that is with the same malt and yeast profile, but with a few changes. Vic Secret hops were tagged in for Citra, and Guava puree instead of blood orange juice. As The Veil puts it – “The same, but different”.
The Veil Brewing Human Adult will be available at the brewery in Richmond, Virginia on Tuesday, September 26th.

It may be past Labor Day, but Richmond, Virginia is still getting a little tropical. The Veil Brewing Never Never Aloha Aloha debuts today.
If you aren’t familiar with The Veil’s beer naming nomenclature, when you see the double name, it’s going to be the “double” version of another similar beer. In this case, Never Aloha released in back in March.
The Veil Brewing Never Never Aloha Aloha is a double version of their Hawaiian Punch inspired gose, brewed with literally hundreds of gallons of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, blood orange, Guava, and cherry purée, plus Hawaiian red alaea sea salt.
Super tart and loaded with tropical notes on the aromatics and flavor profile.
The Veil Brewing Never Never Aloha Aloha will be available when the brewery opens on September 5th.

Creature Comforts Athena Paradiso with Passionfruit and Guava will return to the brewery’s seasonal lineup again this month.
The brewery opened with Athena, a kettle soured wheat beer, aka berliner weisse a few years ago. In February, 2016 the Athens, Georgia based brewery released the first canned Athena Paradiso, brewed with tart cherry, raspberry, and cranberry. Creature Comforts tells Beer Street Journal that it was the most expensive recipe they’ve ever made.
In late August, Creature Comforts Athena Paradiso with Passionfruit and Guava will return to the seasonal lineup again in late August.
“Athena Paradiso is a beautifully refreshing beer. The passion fruit and guava flavors transport you to a tropical paradise during these hot summer months.” – David Stein, Co-founder & head brewer
Creature Comforts Athena Paradiso with Passionfruit and Guava will be an extremely limited release in 12 ounce cans and draft. Note, the can will sport the same red Paradiso branding as the February release.
The brewery will host a can release tour at the brewery in Athens on September 1st . Cans hit the market in both Athens and Atlanta shortly after.
Ed Note: The brewery has shifted the release date from August 26th to September 1st, 2017
