Port Brewing Calls a Board Meeting

Port Brewing Board Meeting

Port Brewing Company adds their first new beer in 2 years with Board Meeting. This imperial brown ale clocks in at 8.5% ABV and is very hop-forward. Keeping true to their West Coast roots, the beer is features locally sourced coffee from Ryan Brother’s Coffee and cocoa nibs from local chocolatiers TCHO.

“Board Meeting offers the malty richness and assertive hop presence that you expect in an American brown ale, but enhanced with pronounced roasted coffee and bitter chocolate aromas and flavors,” Arthur said. “I think people will enjoy this beer by itself and at the table paired with meat dishes like pork, roasts and barbeque. I imagine it’d be pretty good washing down a sausage omelet at breakfast too.”

Style: Imperial Brown Ale

Arrival: February 2013

First Spring Seasonal? Redhook Mudslinger Hits Dec 31

Redhook’s Mudslinger will hit shelves again on December 31st. The brewery is the first to admit that they have had an identity crisis over the past few years. (Mudslinger, then Nut Brown. Now Mud again).

Ah, Spring…the season that keeps us guessing.  Will it rain, or will the sun be out?  Do I take advantage of the last days of skiing, or the first days of hiking?  Do I put on jeans, or dare break out the shorts?  The season comes with enough uncertainty, so Redhook gives you something you can always count on…our Mudslinger Brown Ale.  This medium dark beer is layered with rich malty aromas and flavors of chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, and a hint of vanilla.  Although it may be dark in color, it’s refreshingly smooth and highly sessionable.  Mudslinger Brown Ale is the perfect beer for spring.

Style: Brown Ale
Availability: 12oz bottles, Draft. Spring seasonal.
