Shipyard & Weyerbacher Already Shipping Pumpkin Offerings

You read that right. Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin and Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin are already hitting shelves.  Perfect for 100 degree weather right?

Weyerbacher has actually publicly address this in a recent tweet:

Shipyard’s Smashed Pumpkin is a 9%’er, part of the Pugley’s Signature Series, and available in 22oz bombers.  Weyerbacher’s Imperial Pumpkin is 8%, available in 12 oz bottles and draft with the new artwork seen below.  I guess the season starts early this year.

No Stone Smoked Porter Bottle Variations For Georgia

Much like it has been for Stone Brewing Co’s collaboration series, the new variants of Stone Smoked Porter.  This month, the brewery released to different versions of the popular porter, one with vanilla beans, and one with chipotle peppers.  The 12 oz bottles are currently slated as a one time release. There is some consolation though, the vanilla bean version has found it’s way into the state.

Distribution: AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, NC, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TX, VA, VT, WA

Southern Tier Creme Brulee 2012

You want a beer that drinks like a dessert? Look no further. Southern Tier’s Creme Brulee is back again for 2012.

“We are not the harbingers of truth as some may suggest but it may indeed be argued that our brewing philosophy is tantamount to a dessert with a bellicose past. How, you may ask, would a brewery determine a likeness to hard-coated custard? Our response is simple; it’s all in the power of history, and of course, the extra finesse needed to top off a contentious treat with definition.

By comprehending the labyrinthine movement of time, one would not think it strange to trace the errant path of an ordinary object such as a cream dessert only to discover that it has been the cause of cultural disputes since the middle ages. The British founders of burnt cream and from Spain, crema catalana, both stand by their creative originality and we respect that, but it was the French Crème Brûlée, amid the strife of contention, that survived to represent our deliciously creamy brew.”

Style: Imperial Stout  (w/ Vanilla Beans)
Hops: Columbus, Horizon.
Malts: 2 Row Malt, Dark Caramel Malt
Other: Lactose Sugar

10% ABV
