No Raging Bitches in Michigan. Flying Dog has lost its first amendment lawsuit in Michigan. In 2009, the Michigan Liquor Control Commission denied the brewery approval of the Raging Bitch label in the state. The decision was reversed just three months later. Flying Dog moved forward with a first amendment lawsuit against the liquor board anyway, due to the three months the beer was kept off the shelves.
Federal Judge Robert Jonker has ruled in favor of the commissioners, stating they cannot be sued by the brewery. This has no immediate effect on the the beer being sold in the state.
