NEW RELEASE: Southern Tier Mokah

Southern Tier blew into town a few weeks ago.  Mostly bomber offerings, but there were a few 6 pack offerings.  Another bomber offering just emerged – Mokah.  Mokah is an imperial stout from the Lakewood, NY brewer.

Mokah is a part of the Blackwater series of imperial stouts by Southern Tier.  This brew is a 50/50 blend of Jah-va (coffee stout) and Choklat (chocolate stout.)  Choklat hasn’t made it to Georgia yet.

From the label  –

“When empirical and creative impulses collide, the result is often timeless. The classic utility-art aesthetic of the coffee maker is an example of design and engineering working in concert.
It is through similar cooperation that the simple bitter cocoa bean is transformed into a sweet treat. As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. Ingredients –

Hops – Chinook, Willamette, Cascade & Columbus

Malts – 2 Row Pale, 2 Row Barley, Caramel, Chocolate & Black Malts, Roasted Barley, Barley flakes

Other – Belgian chocolate

Availability – Mid Spring seasonal. 22oz Bottles.  1/6 Keg draft.

11% ABV

6/8 – Just arrived at Hop City.
