Lazy Magnolia Tripling Production

Lazy Magnolia is expanding.  Over the next 8 months, the facility in Kiln, Mississippi will triple its square footage from 10,000 feet to 30,000 feet.   With that comes an capacity expansion from 15,000 barrels (465,000 gallons) to 45,000 barrels (1,395,000 gallons) annually.

Thanks to the new law changes in Mississippi (soon they can drink like the rest of America!) they will be able to offer beer samples at the brewery.

The expansion adds a tasting room, a 60 barrel brew house (thats 1,860 gallons each brew),  two 240 barrel fermentors and a 240 barrel bright tank (where the beer is finished).  The expansion will take around 8 months.   Lazy Magnolia received stimulus money from Rural Development Authority (RDL) and the Mississippi Department Authority (MDA).

By 2016, Lazy Magnolia hopes to add 21 jobs – close to double the current staff.  [Newsletter]
