Jailhouse Brewing Alibi will mark the brewery’s first canned offering from the Hampton, Georgia based brewery.
Brewery founder Glenn Golden and his team have been debating adding cans to their lineup for a while now. Being as small as they are, space (and can cost) have been a big factor in the decision. We at Beer Street Journal always thought that their best seller Slammer Wheat would have been the first can beer, but this April, Jailhouse Brewing Alibi will find aluminum.
It’s the deep south folks. Somewhere at the intersection of the southern heat, and food comes this golden ale, brewed with stone milled grits. Grits is good eatin’, and in this case, good drinkin’ too. In this case, giving the beer a little extra body.
Jailhouse Brewing Alibi is already available on draft. Look for it in 12 ounce cans in April, 2016.
