Philadelphia musician Garrett Dutton, better known as G-Love of G-Love and Special Sauce, has befriended New Belgium and will be brewing a beer with them this summer. Tentatively they will be brewing a peach beer together this July for the Lips of Faith series. It will potentially be named Front Porch Peach Lounger after G-Love’s song, Front Porch Lounger. The beer will be brewed with NJ peaches, molasses, grits, and biscuit malt. It will be bottled in 22oz bottles and will be 9.4% ABV.
Dutton has been a homebrewer since he was in 11th grade. Yep, he was a young’n. He brewed his first batch of beer for a school science project. He says that they always try local craft beers when they are on the road and has been wanting to find someone to collaborate with for some time. He is also a big New Belgium fan. He even has a Fat Tire cruiser that he rides to the beach to surf.
