Funkwerks (Ft. Collins, CO) has been dribbling out their most recent release Aurora to stores. It made it’s tap room debut on January 12th. Aurora is a single hop golden ale.
The single-hopped Belgian golden ale features Styrian Aurora hops. The hops, along with a blend of yeasts yield a beer with a massively fruity aroma. Notes of citrus fruits, peaches and pears, along with subtle hints of spice, lead to soft, malt sweetness with a dry finish.
Interestingly, the label mentions a 3 month cellar limit. 1008 bottles produced.
