Brewdog Brewing (Lots Of Places, Scotland) wants your help naming a beer. This limited edition beer will hit the Brewdog bars and online shop.
It’s a 7.8% Imperial Red Ale. Boasting 80 IBU, it is hopped with huge amounts of Chinook and Centennial in the kettle before being massively dry hopped with only Chinook, twice. Think of it as 5am Saint’s evil, bitter big brother. We also wanted to showcase Chinook and felt an Imperial Red Ale was the best stage for this awesome hop to really shine.

If you’re like that, maybe this will help you. This pint glass has measurements for different alcoholic drinks. An estimated ABV is printed on the glass. As long as you know the abv, you know how much you’ve had. Self control restored! [ThinkGeek]
Goose Island Brewing posted recently posted some pretty sweet pictures via Facebook about Bourbon County Barrel Sampling Day. The Fulton Street location in Chicago has warehouse solely dedicated to aging Bourbon County Stout (and it’s variations.) There is a Rye BCS teaser here. King Henry is also being sampled. Henry is a barleywine that has gone into used BCS barrels. Pictures feature John Hall, his brewers & lab techs sampling barrels. Some people have all the luck.
