Widmer Brothers Old Embalmer BarleywineOld Embalmer 2012 to join Widmer Brothers Brewing’s big bottle Alchemy Project series.  The brewery has brewed Old Embalmer in the past.  

First brewed in 1999, Old Embalmer Barleywine ale is great upon release, but true to its name, will have a perfect place in your cellar.  Brewed with copious amounts of malts, this year’s version features bravo hops that lend earthy & floral qualities for a brilliant balance and velvety finish

Widmer’s New Omission Beers

Widmer Omission Pale Ale

You’ve heard of sin by omission, but what about brewing by omission? These new labels by Widmer Brothers Brewing signal a new series of beers coming out of Portland, Oregon.    As you can see from the labels, there are 2 editions planned at the moment: Omission Pale Ale, 5.8% ABV and Omission Lager 4.6% ABV.  Tag line – “It isn’t just what we took out, it’s what we left in.” Slated for 12oz bottles.
