Beer Street Journal Video: Monday Night on Bottles & Barrel Aging

Monday Night Brewing kicked off 2013 with a beautiful new brew space in the westside area of Atlanta, Georgia. Jonathan Baker and crew have been slowly ramping up production in the new facility. The new brewery will allow Monday Night to fully supply all of the state with Drafty Kilt, Eye Patch IPA, and FuMan Brew.

This month, Monday Night Brewing’s bottling line came online, creating 6 packs of all three beers in the year current year round lineup. Be on the lookout for the first barrel aged offering Bourbon Barrel Drafty Kilt coming in the future.

Monday Night Brewing Preps New IPAs

Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA) has three offerings in their current arsenal. Eyepatch IPA, Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale, and Fu ManBrew. Two more brews are in development I’m told by the brewery.

First – a coffee based IPA, initially dubbed Blind Pirate using Batdorf Coffee. Casks of this beer can be found around Atlanta now.  Also, be on the lookout for an imperial IPA release too. No dates on these releases yet.

Monday Night Brewing Opens For Tours [PICS]

Monday Night Brewing Buildout [PICS]

Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA) is on the verge of opening a brand spanking new 30 barrel brewhouse. The 9,000 square foot space in Atlanta’s Westside features a 4 vessel brewhouse, bottling line, cold storage, barrel room, tasting room drinking patio and a lab.

The pictures below were taken during the buildout prior to Christmas during construction. For those brewery geeks out there – Monday Night has (4) 90 barrel tanks, and  (2) 30 barrel tanks. The Sabco Brew Magic setup the founders have been using in their garage “test facility” will be used at the brewery for test batches and special tap room one-offs.

Grand Opening of Monday Night’s new digs to be announced later today.

Barrel Aging

Yes, the new facility will have a barrel aging room. First round of barrels are from 4 Roses Distillery. Expect some barrel aged draft offerings to release in 2013.

Bottling Line

Soon, six packs of Monday Night’s lineup will be yours. All three current offerings – Drafty Kilt, Eye Patch, and FuManBrew are slated for bottles by the end of the year. Below is a short photo tour of the new build on Atlanta’s Westside with co-founder Jonathan Baker.
