Hi-Wire Brewing (Asheville, NC) has enlisted the assistance of Lazy Magnolia (Kiln, MS) for production help. Hi-Wire, just 16 months into brewing, has grown over 135%.

Lazy Magnolia will offer assistance with Hi-Wire’s core production, allowing the Hi-Wire to work on seasonals and barrel aged offerings in house.

Ultimately, the Hi-Wire Brewing wants to bring all production back to Asheville, North Carolina. In the meantime just to keep up with demand and maintain steady growth, the brewery was pushed to find some outside help.

Hi-Wire Strongman Coffee Stout Returns

On Saturday, October 11th, Hi-Wire Brewing (Asheville, NC) will bring Strong Man Coffee Milk Stout back for another season.

Hi-Wire uses local Dynamite Roasting Co. coffee in Strongman; cold extracted and added to the beer post fermentation.

A release brunch will kick off the release on October 11th, 2014. Bottles and draft of Hi-Wire Strongman Coffee Stout will hit distribution in North Carolina on Monday, October 13th.

Hi-Wire Barrel Ages Imperial Stout in Multiple Barrels

Hi-Wire Brewing (Asheville, NC) has a new addition to their Ringmaster’s Reserve Series – Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout. The series features special barrel aged and imperial one-off beers.

This Russian imperial stout wasn’t just aged in one style of oak. Barrel Aged Russian was aged on a variety of select oak barrels. Napa Valley Zinfandel, Kentucky Bourbon, Tennessee Whiskey, and North Carolina Dark Rum casks.

Look for Hi-Wire Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout will be available the day before Brewgrass on Friday, September 19th, at 2 pm in the tap room. Limited distribution shortly after.

Hi-Wire’s Fall Red Ale Returns

Hi-Wire Brewing (Asheville, NC) is releasing a familiar red ale seasonal this month, Lion Tamer Red. Asheville folks my remember this as Ringmaster Red Rye from last fall.

The name was changed to prevent brand confusing with their Ringmaster Reserve Series, a quarterly extra special big bottle offering.

Red with hops and rye – oh my! Aggressively hopped with a healthy blend of citrus- and fruit-forward hops and balanced by the unmistakable bite of rye, allow this brew to tame your thirst.

Hi-Wire Lion Tamer Red will hit draft on bottles across North Carolina starting August 18th. Lion Tamer follows the summer seasonal Uprisin’ Hefeweizen.
