Lonerider Brewing Company (Raleigh, North Carolina) is expanding distribution to Atlanta. The expansion brings two beers to the state – Shotgun Betty (Hefeweizen) , and Sweet Josie Brown (Brown ale, genius). Both should have already be flowing in Atlanta, but label approval from the state has not been obtained. Government bureaucracy is keeping these ladies out of your glass.
ETA is now late October, fingers crossed.

What does that mean? A bigger ad budget. Expect to see a lot more of Yuengling advertisements in the near future. According to AdAge, America’s oldest brewery will spend 20% more on adverts in 2013. The spots are being produced in Harrisburg, PA at Pavone, Yuengling’s ad agency.

Diageo, owners of Guinness, gave the world a sneak peek of a new video advertising campaign featuring a little white cloud. It’s a mini film, meant to inspire. (Perhaps with a glass of Guinness?)
As the film progresses, the cloud engages with people, places and objects below, seeing itself reflected in mirrored skyscraper, darkening as it approaches the scene of a fierce industrial fire before the dramatic climax. The cloud then gently drifts back, ocean-bound, and gradually mergesinto a swirling pint of Guinness, before resolving with the new endline Guinness. Made of More.

Old Stock is 100% barrel aged, and in the barrels now (filled in the same barrels used for 17th Anniversary) and is looking to be released in January, 2013. Pfeffernüsse Porter, and Saison might join Brick Mason in 2013.
