Boston Beer applies for “Brexit” trademark

Just when you think you’ve heard about “Brexit” enough, soon you might just be drinking it too.

Boston Beer Company, makers of the Sam Adams line of beers, as well as Angry Orchard Cider, has applied for a trademark for the word “Brexit” as a hard cider name.

As the United Kingdom ponders their consequences of  “Brexit” vote to leave the European Union, Boston Beer will be considering a new recipe.

Inquiries about the plans for Brexit cider to Boston Beer Company have not been returned.

We at Beer Street Journal can only assume the cider will be dry. Or perhaps bitter.
