It was mentioned by Yazoo in May, but didn’t get mentioned on BSJ. Recently, Yazoo Brewing (Nashville, TN) had a batch of Sue (a smoked porter) accidentally go sour. Unintended for sure, but that didn’t stop Yazoo. A sour beer doesn’t doesn’t always mean it’s time for the drain. Yazoo’s brewmaster Linus Hall found the beer to be quite tasty, and sold it as Fortuitous. Of course, he did some research into why Sue went sour. Collier and McKeel Tennessee whiskey barrels have been chosen for this batch.
