Turtle Stone Brewing Company coming to Vineland, NJ

Back in 2006 Ben Battiata and Becky Penderson both felt that the craft beer scene in South Jersey left something to be desired, so they decided to change that.  Ben had been a 10 year home brewer and he always knew that he wanted to incorporate the turtle into the name of his brewery as it is considered the base of nature in Native American mythology.  Thus Turtle Stone Brewing Company was born.

Two years ago they purchased a 15 barrel brewing system and soon found a 9,000 square foot location in Vineland, NJ.  A little more than half of this space will be used for an assembly line and the remainder for barrel aging, special brews, and a visitor’s center.  Turtle Stone Brewing Company is set to debut in December of this year with a 5.5% ABV Blonde Ale brewed with local ingredients.
