The fans voted, Terrapin White Chocolate Moo Hoo hits shelves again

Terrapin White Chocolate Moo Hoo bottle

Terrapin White Chocolate Moo Hoo has returned to shelves for only the second time ever.

The base beer uses cocoa nibs from Nashville, Tennessee’s Olive & Sinclair, plus a healthy helping of white chocolate. The end result is a decadent, creamy, dessert beer.

White Chocolate Moo Hoo has only seen one release despite previous plans to bring it back. For the 2016 election year, Terrapin gave their fans the opportunity to vote their favorite beer from the past back into production. We’re told White Chocolate Moo Hoo won by a landslide.

White Chocolate is our favorite specialty release by Terrapin. The white chocolate addition creates a really unique, almost esoteric flavor to this creamy dessert beer.

White Chocolate Moo Hoo is available in 16.9-ounce bottles for a limited time.

Style: Milk Stout (w/ Cocoa Nibs, White Chocolate)
Availability: 16.9oz Bottles, Draft.

Arrival: 2017

6.1% ABV

The Bruery White Chocolate goes public on Valentine’s Day

The Bruery White Chocolate

The Bruery White Chocolate, a decadent bourbon barreled beer brewed with vanilla beans, is being distributed for the first time in 2017.

The name might scream imperial stout, however the base beer is actually a wheat wine, aged 100% in bourbon barrels for a year with vanilla beans and cacao nibs. The Bruery affectionately refers to this beer as “white oak sap,” as it 100% bourbon barrel-aged and is the wheat wine component of now retired White Oak ale.

After nearly a year in used bourbon barrels, the beer comes out rich in coconut, honey, caramel and vanilla. To compliment the already rich flavors of this beer, we’ve added cacao nibs and fresh vanilla beans to give this beer the delicate flavor of white chocolate…hence the name.

Earlier we reported that the alcohol by volume of this beer was 16.6% (as stated on the brewery’s website.) The future release of this beer will be 13.8%, allowing most states to sell it.

The Bruery White Chocolate will be available in 750 milliliter bottles to the brewery’s Society members on February 6th. The first day the general public can buy this beer will be Valentine’s Day 2017.

Style: Wheatwine (w/ Vanilla Beans, Cacao Nibs, Barrel Aged. Bourbon)
Availability: 750ml bottles
Updated Distribution: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, RI, TX, VT, VA, WA, WI

Latest Return: 2/14/17

13.8% ABV

Ed Note: Corrected mention of “White Oak Sap” as it has never been released publicly. ABV was also updated.

2013 Bruery White Chocolate. It’s Out There

Bruery White Chocolate 2013

What happens when you take a wheatwine (think White Oak), aged it in bourbon barrels with vanilla beans and cacao nibs? Something ridiculous. The Bruery’s White Chocolate. You’ll be hard pressed to find this bottle of sexy very far from Orange County, California, but like a luxury car or the Iron Man suit, you just want it. I wouldn’t chug this at a football game, but I would sip this at home by fire, surrounded by rich mahogany and many leather bound books.

Currently on sale at The Bruery’s tap room for $29.99 a bottle. No limit. If you love us, grab us a bottle(s). That’s what real love is.

Style: Wheatwine (w/ Vanilla Beans, Cacao Nibs, Barrel Aged. Bourbon)
Availability: 750 ml bottles

14.25% ABV

Is The Bruery Launching A Super Secret, Super Exclusive, Hoarders Society?

This was just submitted to BSJ. A letter (seemingly sent out early) about an even MORE special society by The Bruery called the Hoarders Society. We’re still checking the validity, but seems legit. A select few members (we think?) are being offered Hoarders Memberships, at the cost of $695 dollars. There are special “hoarders” beers, alongside the ability to purchase 2x the amount of Reserve Society allocated brews. Below is the purported email:

Opportunities to join in the future will be very limited and will be by invite only. Members of the Hoarders Society receive all of the benefits of the Reserve Society, plus more.

If you wish to accept this invitation to join the Hoarders Society, please do so by purchasing your membership through this page by Sunday, September 23, 2012. Only purchase one membership, please. Duplicate membership orders will be cancelled and refunded.

Bruery’s White Chocolate: Wheatwine, Bourbon, Vanilla Beans, Chocolate

The Bruery has announced another mystery beer in the Reserve Society –White Chocolate. Those who are a part of the society have a chance at 6 bottles of this new release, along side 10 bottles of Oude Tart.

So what is it? The base of White Chocolate is a 100% barrel aged wheat wine dubbed White Oak Sap. …a “summer” barley-wine style ale, but made with a wheat heavy grain base, White Oak Sap is aged in used bourbon barrels for nearly a year and comes out rich in flavors of coconut, honey, caramel and vanilla. In addition to this, The Bruery added cacao nibs (chocolate) and vanilla beans. Thus creating White Chocolate

Style: American Strong Ale (Cacao Nibs, Vanilla Beans, Barrel Aged)

14% ABV
