Backlash Releasing Convergence

One of Boston’s newest up and coming breweries – Backlash Beer has a new one coming your way – Convergence.

Helder of Backlash touts their 2rd release as a dangerously quaffable saison, and it’s sure to be just that. Covergence is chock full of rye malt that complements the spicy flavor that the yeast strain they used. Backlash made their own candi sugar (because their just that cool) to up the drinkability.  The flavors “converge” into  smooth mouthfeel making this 7.5% glass of lovely hard to put down.

Brewed to commemorate Baltimore Beer Week, and Stillwater Artisanal Day October 9th, 2011 at Maxs Tap House in Baltimore.  Only 101 bottles were produced of Olde Bay Saison.

Guava Grove Ale is a Belgian ale that sees a secondary fermentation with and extended aging on Guava puree. The complex flavors imparted by both the Belgian yeast strain and the Guava are unlike anything you are likely to have encountered. This is an elegant beer that pairs well with white fish, mussels, fresh tropical fruits and earthy cheeses. It also makes a fine accompaniment to Guavaween festivities.

To manifest this ideology we present an ale of intrigue. Deep & dark though deceptively dry, braced by a firm yet smooth bitterness and accented with an earthy hop and mild roast aroma.
