Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Grape Guerrilla Ale up next in doughnut series

Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Grape Guerrilla Ale is the sixth and newest addition Rogue’s Voodoo Doughnut collaboration series. Based on Voodoo Doughnuts’ Grape Ape, Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Grape Guerilla Ale is available nationwide starting this month.

Portland based Voodoo Doughnuts creates the Grape Ape by combining a raised yeast doughnut with vanilla frosting, grape dust and lavender sprinkles. As you would expect, Voodoo Doughnut Grape Guerrilla Ale boasts a bold grape character.

“The beer is fantastic. It’s got a great grape essence and doesn’t taste like cough syrup. It’s grape in a great way,” – Rogue President Brett Joyce.

This newest addition to Rogue’s lineup will be available in the series’ hard to miss pink painted 750 milliliter bottles starting November 2016.

Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Mango Astronaut Ale headed to donut series

Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Mango Astronaut Ale is coming to their pink bottle, “Donut Series” in November.

Rogue kicked off the Voodoo Doughnut Series with Voodoo Maple Bacon Porter. The beer honored Portland, Oregon based Voodoo Donuts achievement of setting the world record for the largest box of donuts.

The series has grown to include new offerings from Voodoo Donuts lineup, including Voodoo Donut Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana, and Pretzel, Raspberry, Chocolate, and Voodoo Doughnut Lemon Chiffon Crueller Ale.

Voodoo Doughnut’s closest flavor to this beer, according to their website is Mango Tango.

Like the other releases in this series, Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Mango Astronaut Ale will be available in 750ml pink bottles.

Dear Elvis, Rogue VooDoo Doughnut Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Ale

Rogue’s second VooDoo Doughnut beer should be popping up at your favorite beer spots shortly if not already. VooDoo Doughnut Chocolate, Peanut butter, and Banana Ale is the latest tribute to Portland’s Voo Doo Doughnut Shop, which features specialty doughnuts such as a maple bacon bar (which inspired Rogue’s first beer, Maple Bacon Porter), doughnuts with Captain Crunch on top, and doughnuts dipped in everything from bubblegum dust to tang. After the original Maple Bacon Porter receiving mixed reviews, let’s hope that this crazy concoction pleases the palate. Below is the donut the beer is inspired by…

A New Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Flavor: Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Banana Ale

Rogue Voodoo Donut Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana

Rogue Ales (Newport, OR) made a real splash in the beer world when then unveiled Voodoo Donut Ale. In honor of a Portland Oregon based Voodoo Donuts breaking the world record for largest box of donuts (666 lbs), the brewery made the first Voodoo Doughnut ale- Maple Bacon Porter. Brewed with real bacon, maple syrup, smoked malt, and vanilla beans. I believe there were even media kits running around that had a pink condom in it.

Looks like another edition is on the horizon – Voodoo Donut Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana. By the looks of it, this beer is modeled after the Memphis Mafia donut. (Elvis inspired? See below.) As it’s predecessor, looks like big painted pink bottles again for this edition.
