This is not the first time that Foothills Brewing (Winston-Salem, NC) has released Bourbon Barrel Aged Porter. It will however, be the first time that Foothill’s Brewing will have released it in bottles. BBL Aged People’s Porter has been available on tap at various releases, include Olde Rabbit’s Foot, & Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate. The base beer is of course People’s Porter, a robust English style porter with notes of unsweetened chocolate and espresso.
People’s Porter aged in 20 year old bourbon barrels. This gold medal winning robust porter has a dark, ruby hue, and complex chocolate, caramel and toffee notes. The bourbon barrels add a vanilla, bourbon character that is unmistakable. We hope you enjoy.
