New Belgium Eric’s Ale Returns to Lips of Faith Series

New Belgium Eric’s Ale makes a return to the brewery’s Lips of Faith Series lineup this month.

New Belgium Eric’s Ale is a sour ale “spiked” with peaches, named for the brewery’s Eric Salazar. To create New Belgium Eric’s Ale, Salazar blended threads of Felix, a sour base beer, and a golden strong ale. (Plus peaches, of course.)

Eric’s Ale pours a hazy golden-orange with subtle fuzzy ripe peach and vanilla aromas. It’s both sweet and tart and finishes warm and crisp. Woody notes are drawn out from the oak foeders to round out this middle-of-the-road sour.

New Belgium Eric’s Ale is now available in 22 ounce bottles and draft, across the brewery’s distribution network.

Style: American Wild/Sour Ale (w/ Peaches, Oak Aged.)
Availability: 22oz Bottles, Draft.
Return: July, 2015

Tallgrass Ginger Peach Saison is exactly how it’s billed, a saison brewed with fresh ginger and peaches.

“We tried several different strains of yeast before arriving at a Belgian strain used in the final recipe,” Brandon Hoag, Tallgrass brewmaster said. “A lot of the flavor comes from the yeast, but it’s the way it interacts with the ginger and peach that makes it slam on the taste buds.”

Tallgrass Ginger Peach Saison is available in 16oz cans as a summer seasonal.

Style: Saison (w/ Ginger, Peaches)
Availability: 16oz Cans, Draft. Summer seasonal
Launch: June, 2015

Almanac Rum Barrel Peche Coming to Farm to Barrel

Almanac Rum Barrel Peche takes aim at the brewery’s Farm to Barrel Series.

This edition features summer peaches, a sour blonde ale, and rum barrels.

Historically, fruit-infused sour beer were a way of preserving the summer harvest. In that tradition, this blonde ale was added to rum barrels with high-summer peaches, hand-picked by the Loewen Family at Blossom Bluff Orchards in Reedley, California. We aged this liquid gold for six months until we needed a reminder that summer will come again.

Almanac Rum Barrel Peche will be available in 375ml bottles. The brewery has not yet announced this offering.

Style: American Wild Ale (w/ Peaches. Barrel Aged. Rum.)
Availability: 375ml Bottles
Release: TBA

The Commons Brewery Crème de Pêche Releases 12/27

Portland, OR – The Commons Brewery releases Crème de Pêche, a cream ale aged in gin barrels with fresh peaches and Brettanomyces today.

Crème de Pêche was brewed in December, 2013 and added to gin barrels in January, 2014. Commons added peaches directly to the barrel to give the final beer a bright, juicy flavor.

Flaked corn provides a creamy body that compliments the dryness and floral characteristics from Brettanomyces Bruxellensis. Crème de Pêche can be consumed now to enjoy the fresh peach qualities or cellared to further develop its Brettanomyces profile.

The Commons Brewery Crème de Pêche is a part of the brewery’s Beetje Series. Available starting December 27th in  750ml capped bottles for $15 per bottle.

Style: American Wild Ale (w/ Peaches. Barrel Aged. Gin.)
Availability: 750ml Bottles
Arrival: 12/27/14
