Perennial 17 Mint Chocolate Stout makes a return in February. The imperial stout is brewed with enough chocolate and mint to confuse and delight your tastebuds.
17 is an Imperial Stout brewed with huge amounts of chocolate malts, cacao nibs, and mint leaves. This hearty stout boasts 10% ABV and big chocolate aromas and flavors with a hint of fresh mint. This beer is perfect for the last cold months of the winter. However, it may be enjoyed right away, or allowed to age in the bottle.
Perennial 17 is available in 750ml bottles, and draft.

Flying Dog’s Brewhouse Rarities Series is mostly draft only, one-off creations. Every so often one of these offerings gets promoted to bottles.
Coming soon to both draft and 12oz bottle is Flying Dog Mint Chocolate Stout. The name is pretty explanatory. Flying Dog has taken a chocolate stout and added mint. Look for release information updates soon. Judging by the 2014 Release Calendar, Flying Dog Mint Chocolate Stout is planning for February.

Shipyard To Add Mint Chocolate Offering
Mint chocolate works quite well in ice cream, and surprising translates to beer too. Shipyard Brewing Co (Portland, ME) will be showing you this flavor exploration soon in the Pugsley’s Signature Series (named for their brewer).
Mint Chocolate Stout is a dark, silky beer with aromas of chocolate and licorice. There are notes of chocolate and coffee upfront followed by a subtle spearmint finish.

Malt: Process Pale, Flaked Barley, Chocolate, Roasted Barley, Rolled Oats, Whole Wheat, Black, and Caramunich II

Update: Ska Vernal Minthe Cans Hit 3/20
Ska Brewing will release the third edition in their Seasonal Stout series: Vernal Minthe Stout on Wednesday. The stout brewed with peppermint, spearmint, cocoa and vanilla beans. The beer will hit shelves on March 20th, the date of the spring equinox.
“Spring is a good time to brew up a reward for making it through winter, said Ska Overlord of Brewing Operations Bill Graham. “The Vernal Minthe Stout is a treat: sweet, but with great roasted and chocolate notes for balance–and a peppermint note that reminds me of spring. I bet I’m not the only one who could use a reward about now.”
Look for the next announcement in June, corresponding with the Summer Equinox.
