Left Hand Ambidextrous: A Beer & A New Series

Left Hand Brewing‘s Ambidextrous has started hitting taps around the U.S. What is it? Well, it’s more than a beer, it’s a series. Left Hand will be different editions of Ambidextrous this year. The brewery received keg approval for the ale last last year. The name will stay the same, but the beer of course will repeatedly change. Some of you have already seen #1, Imperial Milk Porter. It already sounds sexy.

Ambi #1 is a blend of different Left Hand beers. It breaks down like this:

Widdershins Barleywine (aged in Colorado whiskey)
Milk Stout
Wake Up Dead (Regular edition)

plus a little bit of coffee.

Imperial Milk Stout weighs out at around 9% ABV.

Availability: Draft only, available now.

Southern Tier Bottles Trashy Pils, 2X Milk Stout & More

Southern Tier Brewing (Lakewood, NY) is currently cranking out 10,000 bottles of their new 2x Milk Stout an hour right now. It will hit ST’s full distribution network soon.

A little over a week ago, the first bottles of Eurotrash Pils rolled of the line. Meet the first bottle below.

Other Southern Tier as we head into 2012: An Oak Aged Pumking was just made available this month. The beer geek haters of Pumpking hate this one too. Those lovers of the original rejoice at this new edition.

Expect and Oak Aged Backburner soon.

Be on the lookout for Matador Weizenbock Ale coming in 2012.

Warlock Cream Stout has just been released on draft recently.

You should see 12oz bottle treatments of Unearthly IPA, and Iniquity soon.

Also, seasonal favorite Choklot is back. Dessert is served.

Peppermint Patty Moo Hoo Cask

If you needed a reason to go to Athens, Georgia this friday, here’s the best one I have. Peppermint Patty Moo Hoo Cask. Terrapin has it for the tour at the brewery this friday. The cask is made with cocoa nibs and real Peppermint Patties.

Moo Hoo, a chocolate milk stout was bottled this week, and will hit shelves in a matter of days. The brewery as taken a little bit of heat from their fans over the changing the chocolate milk stout from 6 packs, to 4 packs.
