Evil Twin “Even More Jesus” Arrives Stateside

Evil Twin Brewing’s newest in the U.S. Even More Jesus has arrived.  Don’t be surprised – it’s an imperial stout. (That’s a good thing.) Brewed a Fano Bryghus, Denmark.

Few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league.  Usually, the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming,  aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar, obviously only made in limited amounts and most crucial of all – it must be rare!

Style: Imperial Stout
Availability: 12 oz bottles

12% ABV

Clown Shoe’s Blended, Barrel Aged Angry Beast

Clown Shoes Angry BeastThe pissed off dragon you see above is Clown Shoe’s Angry Beast, mentioned here a few weeks ago.  The brewery is taking some of their May, 2012 batch of Vampire Slayer (imperial stout, brewed with holy water) and blending it with barrel aged Blaecorn Unidragon.  The result you see above.  The dragon seen above is indeed the infamous Blaecorn Unidragon.  Just…angrier.

Hoppy Feet guy extinguished evil via a sharp stake through an undead chest.  Now, Blaecorn Unidragon, mad as hell, has expelled another blood sucker from Earth.  No, we do not like Vampires, but we love vampire slayer, which was blended with bourbon barrel aged Blaecorn Unidragon to beget Angry Beast.

Style: Imperial Stout (Barrel Aged)
Availability: 22oz bombers
Arrival: TBA

New Artwork: Weyerbacher Old Heathen

Even more spiffy new artwork from  Weyerbacher Brewing (Easton, PA).  Old Heathen, an imperial stout,  is brewed year round.

Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Old Heathen is a truly distinctive stout. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Old Heathen Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex — perhaps you’ll even discern notes of espresso or chocolate.

Style: Imperial Stout
Availability: 12 oz bottles

8% ABV
