An aggressively hopped and higher gravity version of our Kashmir IPA. In all, over 200 pounds of hops are used in each 50-barrels batch ofthis limited release. The robust, malty and delightfully intense hop flavors and aromas are best enjoyed with an extremely stiff upper lip.

Brooklyn BLAST! Bottles?

Brooklyn Brewing’s Blast! was promoted from the Reserve Series a while back to year round status. The imperial IPA has been a hit. Hop heads love it. By the looks of it, the brewery plans on taking this baby to bottles this year.

We brew our beer in New York, about halfway between the hop fields of the Pacific Northwest and the hop fields of Kent, England. So in the rambunctious IPA we call BLAST! we use earthy English hops to bring the noise. British and German malts brace up a beer that’s beautifully hoppy, strangely quaffable and oddly compelling. You won’t even know what hit you.

Style: Imperial IPA
Availability: Draft (Year round), 12oz bottles, Soon
Arrival: Bottles – TBA

9% ABV

New Belgium Searches for Rampant IPA Mascot [VIDEO]

New Belgium Brewing introduces their new Imperial IPA, Rampant, and searches for the perfect mascot to represent it.

“The hop profile heavily features Mosaic and Calypso, bringing stone fruit flavors to the front seat. We’re talking peaches, apricots, things like that. Centennials are in there too, rounding out the aroma with a big citrus blast. Rampant also offers a sturdy malt backbone to balance the flavor in such wonderful way. It is a really great beer, like really great. Rampant leaves a hoppy zing in your mouth for a while after completion, and that’s a good thing, because it makes you want to drink another Rampant. “

Style: Imperial IPA
Arrival: March 4, 2013
Availability: 12 oz bottles

8.5% ABV
