Baxter Bootleg Fireworks, a Hop Bomb in a Can

Baxter Brewing (Lewiston, ME) will release a new hoppy canned offering this November – Bootleg Fireworks.

The brewery says this beer is intentionally a bit off balanced. It makes sense too, as the beer features 8 different hops, and 4 different dry hops over the course of 2 weeks. The malts are as light as possible to the chunks of hops added to this beer shine.

Baxter Bootleg Fireworks will launch in 16oz cans and draft November 17th.

Terrapin Beer Company (Athens, GA) fresh hopped seasonal offering So Fresh & So Green, Green features Simcoe hops this year.

Each year since the beer’s inception, has featured a different fresh (just picked) hops. The label has changed a little bit too this year, featuring a die cut side label.

Terrapin’s “So Fresh and So Green, Green” is a beer that celebrates the hop! Made with freshly picked, whole leaf, “wet” hops, these off-the-vine beauties will encourage you to drink fresh, drink local and drink now. 

Terrapin So Fresh & So Green, Green releases soon, close to the annual Hop Harvest at the brewery.

Wicked Weed Lusus Naturae Celebrates Tasty Beverage

Wicked Weed Brewing (Asheville, NC) has announced a new hop-meets-funk offering, Lusus Naturae. The brew a hoppy imperial IPA, finished with Wicked Weed’s house strain of Brettanomyces. Brewed in collaboration with Tasty Beverage Company in Raleigh, North Carolina in honor of their third anniversary.

Lusus Naturae is a dry, North Carolina Double IPA brewed with thoroughbred Riverbend Malt and 30 lbs of fresh-off-the vine Cascade wet hops from Echo View farms. It is dry hoped with over 3 lbs per barrel and finished with our house Brettanomyces strain. Drink this hoppy goodness fresh or lay it down to bring out the funk.

Wicked Weed Lusus Naturae will be able 500 ml bottles across North Carolina.

Southern Tier Brewing (Lakewood, NY) is creating a beer in the tradition of British IPAs, Brit Hop.

The Brewer’s Star Series is dedicated to the age-old talisman representing the six points of purity in brewing: water, hops, malt, grain, yeast and, the brewer.
Brit Hop is brewed in the tradition of classic IPAs from the 19th century. That was a time when beer was literally shipped around the world for the emissaries of the British Empire stationed in India.

Southern Tier Brit Hop features 4 varieties of hops, and 1 malt, packaged in 22oz bombers.

New Belgium Hop Kitchen #7, Hop the Pond

New Belgium Brewing’s “Hop Kitchen” is a hoppy playground for the brewers to play around. The seventh edition of the series is a veritable United Nations of hops additions you’ll come to know as Hop the Pond. So named, because the beer features hops and malts from many nations.

Hop the Pond IPA is a trip around the world in 80 IBUs. Experience Admiral hops from England, Galaxy from Australia and Citra from the US of A. The malt bill hails from Chile, Germany, England and Canada. Set sail with one sip.

New Belgium Hop the Pond will be available in 22oz bombers, and draft.
