Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail Heavy on way, a hoppy 17.2% ABV

Evil Twin Brewing has a boozy IPA, Molotov Cocktail. That one is 13% ABV. You can even find a “lite” edition in cans, Molotov Lite, that’s a smooth 8% ABV.

The brewery will soon unleash Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail Heavy, a very imperial IPA that’s 17.2% ABV.

Not every state will be able to get a hold of this one, as that alcohol by volume will exceeds some state’s alcohol caps.

Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail Heavy will be available 22 ounce bottles. No arrival date yet for this hangover.

Weyerbacher Double IPA kicks off new hoppy series

Weyerbacher Double IPA #1 kicks off a new IPA series from the Easton, Pennsylvania brewery.

The new series will feature four different IPAs each year. The fall and winter releases will be imperial IPA, while spring and summer releases will be single IPAs.

Weyerbacher Double IPA #1 uses Cascade, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops.

Complex and refreshing, this brew has a piney and herbal aroma. Tropical fruit and berry mesh with citrus notes to create a well-rounded profile.\

Weyerbacher Double IPA #1 has hit the tap room, and is available now in Connecticut, upstate New York,North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Michigan and New Jersey.

Pipeworks & Emporium Arcade Bar Team Up for Epic Back to the Future Release

Chicago’s Emporium Arcade Bar and Pipeworks Brewing have teamed to create a special offering for Back to the Future day. In case you have no idea what I’m talking about – the Back to the Future, Marty McFly heads to October 21, 2015 in future Hill Valley, California.

As for the beer, meet Pipeworks & Emporium Twin Pines Mall Imperial IPA. Brewed with spruce tips and wildflower honey. Twin Pines Mall is the mall Marty met Doc at when he first met the Delorean. (Hopefully, none of this needs explanation.) Emporium tells Beer Street Journal that they chose Twin Pines, even though Marty kills one of the trees in the past turning it into Lone Pine Mall, because they wanted o make it imperial IPA. (AKA, Twin.)

Pipeworks/Emporium Arcade Twin Pines Mall releases on draft at the Emporium Arcade Bar (Wicker Park) on October 21st. Package will be available on October 22nd at the Logan Square location.

Terrapin So Fresh & So Green, Green returning in 19.2oz cans

Terrapin So Fresh & So Green, Green releases this month in 19.2oz cans. A first for this beer.

The brewery started contract canning a few years ago with RecreationAle, and last year bought their own canning line and brought the operation in-house. This will be the brewery’s first large format (read: stovepipe, 19.2 ounce size) can.

Terrapin’s “So Fresh and So Green, Green” is a beer that celebrates the hop! Made with freshly picked, whole leaf, “wet” hops, these off-the-vine beauties will encourage you to drink fresh, drink local, and drink now.

Terrapin So Fresh & So Green, Green cans arrive alongside their annual Hop Harvest, on October 24th.

This Imperial Red Ale has an intense hop aroma with well-balanced caramel malt sweetness. The intense American hoppiness builds on the substantial malt backbone to deliver a full-flavored beer with a ton of complexity.
