Goose Island’s 2nd Fulton & Wood Series Release: En Passant
Goose Island’s latest muse is an Old Fashioned cocktail. This English Mild called En Passant will only be brewed once. It is the second installment of the Fulton & Wood series that will only be available in the Chicago area on draft. Brewed by Goose Island’s Joel, Keith, and Claudia, this ale was brewed with lots of rye and blood orange juice. The beer was made to pair well with rye whiskey and thus is low in alcohol content at about 4% ABV. The name, En Passant is French for “in passing” and is also a chess move that can only been used once in a game which matches this one time only brew well.

Now Tapping: Troegs Scratch #59
Troegs Brewing just tapped a new Scratch Beer today – Mighty Moose Mild today. Moose follows on the heels of a very popular Triple Mango IPA. Mild is described as “Drawing inspiration from classic English ales and delivers a delicate session beer.”
According to the brewery the mild is very limited and will probably only be available on tap, with no bottle or growler availability.
