Winter: Leinenkugel Cranberry Ginger Shandy
Leinkugel’s has made a big name for themselves in the shandy market. The beer meets lemonade offering has done very well for the brewery – more than 60% of their sales, despite a full portfolio of other offerings.
While shandies are great for hot weather drinking, the brewery has quickly found they sell very well year round. Going off of that, Leinie’s is adding winter shandy offerings.
Did you know Wisconsin produces more cranberries than any other state in America? Our hometown pride inspired us to brew Leinenkugel Cranberry Ginger Shandy. The combination of wheat beer, cranberry and ginger is as refreshing as a toboggan ride Out Here.
As with Harvest Patch Shandy and Old Fashioned Shandy, look for Leinenkugel Cranberry Ginger Shandy in 12oz cans.
Style: Shandy (w/ Cranberry, GInger)

Another Addition to the Redd’s Lineup
Redd’s – a fruit infused lineup by Miller Coors is getting another addition – Redd’s Cranberry Ale.
By our estimates, Redd’s Cranberry Ale would be the fourth offering, after Apple Ale, Apple Ale Iced Tea, and Apple Ale Strawberry. (Yeah, all of that was a mouthful.)
Redd’s Apple Ale lineup is beer infused with fruit flavors (and caramel coloring) and is NOT gluten free.
While Redd’s is packaged in 12oz bottles, and 12/16oz cans, only the original Apple Ale is available in cans.
There’s your Redd’s rundown….

Short’s Experimental IPA Hits Bottles
Today (Dec 23rd) marks the first bottle release of Short’s Brew’s Juicy Tree IPA.
Juicy Tree is an experimental India Pale Ale made with blue spruce tips, juniper berries, and cranberries.
Big aromatics of piney evergreen and sweet berries tingle the senses. After some slightly tart and tangy flavors up front, a harmonious balance between pleasant fruit sweetness and bitter pine is reached. A sizable malt bill, ample hop additions, and the floral fruity qualities of American Ale yeast all contribute to the symmetry of this beer. The finish in Juicy Tree (7.5% ABV, 65 IBU) is laced with a resiny stickiness that flows naturally into a lasting bitterness.
Short’s Juicy Tree is only available to brewpub patrons.
Style: IPA (Spruce Tips, Juniper Berries, Cranberries)
Availability: 12oz Bottles
7.5% ABV, 65 IBU
Troeg’s Scratch #125 Released
Troeg’s Brewing (Hershey, PA) releases Scratch #125 today. This release is a Cranberry Porter.
Since the cranberry resonates with so many people during this time of year, we thought, “Why not brew a cranberry beer?” Typically, cranberries are viewed as too bitter and sour to eat raw. However, this magic ingredient lends a pleasant tart, fruity finish and complements the roasty character of this robust porter, giving Scratch #125 a simple yet festive charm.
Style: Porter (w/ Cranberries)
Availability: Draft only. One time release
