Deschutes Doppel Dinkel Bock

This third Conflux Series brew features a collaboration with Distelhauser Brewery of Germany who have been brewing beer since 1811. A connection between our two breweries was discovered over 10 years ago, so we thought it was high time we created a beer together to celebrate this beautiful friendship! Our brewmasters decided on a Doppel Dinkel Bock or Imperial Spelt Beer. Spelt is an ancient wheat traditionally used in baking bread. In the beer, it creates a malty flavor with hints of spice, clove, banana and a trace of citrus. This beer is smooth, full bodied and super drinkable! Prost!

Availability: Late June in 22oz. bottles and on draft in limited quantity

Beer Street Journal Video: Terrapin & Green Flash Create Tangerine Dreamsicle

The collaboration got started with Green Flash Brewing (San Diego, CA) wanting to brew a beer called Road Warrior, to honor their employees that always travel. One hiccup, Terrapin Beer Company in Athens, GA already had dibs on the name.

Green Flash made more than one financial offer for “Road Warrior.” Terrapin decided to allow Green Flash to use the name, under one condition. You’ll find out in the above Beer Street Journal video.

Green Flash’s brewmaster Chuck Silva joins Terrapin brewmaster and co-founder “Spike” Buckowski to create a different spin on an ipa. Tangerine Dreamsicle is brewed with Azacca hops (pretty new breed), and tangerine peel, along with lactose (milk sugar) to turn this beer into an orange creamsicle.

Available in Terrapin’s 12 distribution states in 22oz bombers and draft for a limited time.

Style: IPA (w/ Tangerine Peel, Lactose)
Availability: 22oz bombers, Draft

 6.5%ABV

New Belgium & Odell Create “FOCOllaboration”

For the first time ever, New Belgium Brewing and Odell Brewing team up on a new collaboration brew.

FOCOllaboration is an American pale ale joining the Hop Kitchen Series. This summery newbie is brewed with New Belgium’s favorite hops – Centennial, Cascade, and Citra, alongside Fawcett crystal malts, an Odell favorite.

“Over the years we’ve shared everything from laughter, to beers, to perspective,” said New Belgium Brewing CEO, Kim Jordan. “FOCOllaboration celebrates that camaraderie and the mutual respect of being a couple of brewers who grew up together in the same neighborhood.”

Interestingly, Odell and New Belgium are less than a mile apart from each other in Fort Collins, Colorado. Even though they are so close, they haven’t collaborated until now.

Style: Pale Ale
Hops: Centennial, Citra, Cascasde
Malts: Fawcett
