Blue Point Launching 3 Can Offerings This Month

Blue Point White IPA CansBlue Point Brewing will release 3 beers in cans this month.  The brewery recently inked a can production deal with Latrobe Brewing.    The three offerings are:  Toasted Lager, White IPA, and Summer Ale.

Currently, Blue Point is in the process of releasing White IPA as you’re reading this.  For White IPA, the brewery blended the soft and approachable appeal of a witbier with the approachability of an IPA.  Toasted Lager is a no brainer for cans, as the beer makes up 65% of the brewery’s annual sales.   Summer Ale (a blonde ale) is set to return in May.

Blue Point just entered their 15th state in 15 years this week (Georgia).  However, only 13 states will be receiving the initial orders of the cans.  The brewery has already projected sales numbers in the 13, and it does’t look like there will be enough for Michigan and Georgia.  Those states will get cans later.

Expect cans in 6 packs in 2012.  Blue Point will most likely add 12 packs in 2013.
