Weyerbacher Tarte Nouveau with Blood Orange, A Companion

Weyerbacher Tarte Nouveau releases today, and the new sour has counterpart – Tarte Nouveau with Blood Orange.

Weyerbacher Tarte Nouveau is a described “session sour” at 3.9% alcohol by volume. In addition to launch the 12oz bottles at the brewery, Weyerbacher is releasing a limited run of Tarte Nouveau with Blood Orange 750ml bottles.

Weyerbacher Tarte Nouveau is debuting at a special event on April 16th at the brewery.

Style: American Wild Ale (w/ Blood Orange)

Burnt Hickory Didjits Blood Orange IPA is now available in bottles.

The Kennesaw, Georgia brewery has greatly expanded their bottle lineup after a recent brewhouse expansion.

Burnt Hickory Didjits joins Fighting Bishop, Ezekiel’s Wheel, Cannon Dragger, and Big Shanty in bottles in the past few weeks.

Style: IPA (w/ Blood Orange)

Champion Brewing Fruitbasket Released

Champion Brewing Fruitbasket

Champion Brewing (Charlottesville, VA) released Fruitbasket Double IPA today.

Fruitbasket is brewed with grapefruit, blood orange, plus Mosaic hops. The beer was released today in 22oz, waxed bombers, and limited draft.

Style: Imperial IPA (w/ Starfruit, Blood Oranges, Grapefruit)
Hops: Mosaic

Availability: 22oz Bombers, Wax capped.

Maui Lorenzini Double IPA Released in Cans

Maui Lorenzini Double IPA

Maui Lorenzini Double IPA releases today in cans. 

The IPA is brewed with tangerine and blood orange juice and Maui cane sugar. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the Shark Research Group at the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology.

Maui Lorenzini Double IPA is a limited winter seasonal. A launch party is scheduled for 6 pm today (1/2/15) at the brewery.

Style: Imperial IPA (w/ Blood Orange, Tangerines, Cane Sugar.)
Availability: 12oz Cans, Draft. Limited Release.

2013 Allagash Fluxus Ships Next Month

It is still a little ways out, but Allagash Brewing Company (Portland, ME) is about ready to ship this year edition of Fluxus. The beer is so named because the style changes each year, 2013’s edition is first and foremost a porter. Wait a minute though, it is not JUST a porter. Fluxus 2013 is brewed with coffee and chocolate malts, along with blood orange pulp and orange zest. Chocolate orange anyone? This edition was created by brewer Patrick Saville.

Look for it by August, 2013 in Allagash’s distribution markets.

Style: Porter (w/ Blood Orange Pulp & Zest)
Hops: Tettnang, Perle, Glacier
Malts: 2 Row Pale, Chocolate, Coffee
Yeast: Abbey Ale

Availability: 750 ml bottles, Draft
Arrival: Late July, 2013
