New Belgium to launch two gluten reduced beers in January
New Belgium Brewing (Ft Collins, CO) is releasing two gluten reduced ales for the first time in January, 2016. The series is called Glutiny Ales.
Glütiny Golden Ale and Glütiny Pale Ale are both brewed using an enzyme to break down the proteins that trigger a reaction from gluten sensitive drinkers. Therefore, these beers are being referred to as “gluten removed” instead of gluten free. The beers fall within the FDA guidelines of less than 20 parts per million.
New Belgium Glütiny Golden Ale is brewed with Nugget, Goldings, and Cascade hops. 5.2% ABV
New Belgium Glütiny Pale Ale features Equinox hops, for flavors of guava and papaya. 6% ABV, 30 IBUs.
Both gluten reduced offerings will be available year-round in 12 ounce bottles/6 packs in January, 2016

Ommegang to Re-Release Two Game of Thrones Beers, Gift Set
Hey, while you are arguing over the fate of John Snow, check this out. Brewery Ommegang is re-releasing the first two offerings in the brewery’s Game of Thrones Series.
Coming this fall, Iron Throne Blonde Ale, and Take the Black Stout will reappear in a Game of Thrones Gift Pack, along with a Game of Thrones glass.
“We heard from so many fans who were disappointed about missing the first two Game of Thrones beers,” said Josh Goodstadt, Vice President of Global Licensing at HBO. “The popularity of the beers has grown right alongside the popularity of the show, and we are thrilled to give these first two brews a second turn in the spotlight.”
Iron Throne Blonde Ale was the first release in the series, and fewest bottles produced in the series. Take the Black followed shortly after, selling out just as fast. Other beers in the series includes Three Eyed Raven, a saison, and Valar Morghulis, a Belgian-style dubbel.
You will find both beer on draft in September, along with 750ml bottles and gift sets. ERP, $22.99.
New Belgium Skinny Dip Returns to Summer Lineup
New Belgium Skinny Dip returns from a few year hiatus as the brewery’s summer seasonal. The beer is brewed as a reminder of clean water, and water conservation.
Starting this week, and running through July, New Belgium Skinny Dip will support the Waterkeeper Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that stands for swimmable, drinkable and fishable waterways worldwide. The brewery will donate $1, up to $10,000, to Waterkeeper Alliance for every fan photo posted to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WaterkeeperDip.
As for the liquid itself, New Belgium Skinny Dip is an American blonde ale. Specifically designed to be a flavorful, light, hot weather beer.
“Beer lovers everywhere benefit from the fight for clean water,” said Billy Apel, New Belgium’s Arizona Field Brander. “This year, Skinny Dip is back and ready to take on more advocacy. So grab a friend and go bottoms up!”
