Saint Arnold Bishop’s Barrel #10 Released Today

Saint Arnold Bishop’s Barrel #10 is now available. The base beer is a barleywine brewed for the brewery’s 20th Anniversary, that has been aging in Woodford Reserve barrels for nearly a year.

This beer pours a deep ruby color with a lingering khacki colored head. The aroma is caramel, bourbon and vanilla with slight wood and dark cherry notes. The taste is dark fruit with bourbon notes and lots of toffee sweetness that lingers without being cloying. This beer has a full body with soft carbonation.

Saint Arnold Bishop’s Barrel #10 is available in 12oz bottles, and draft.

Style: Barleywine (Barrel Aged. Bourbon.)
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft.
Release: 6/8/2015

12.7% ABV

Stone Old Guardian Extra Hoppy Ships

Stone Old Guardian Extra Hoppy

2015 is an “odd year.” Fans of Stone Brewing Co. know by now that odd years bring “Odd Years” versions of Stone Imperial Russian Stout and Old Guardian Barleywine.

Past Odd Beer versions of Old Guardian have included Oak Smoked, and Belgo-Barleywine. 2015’s Odd offering is Extra Hoppy. The Stone Brewing Co. team used Azacca hop varietal in a strong dry-hop in the base barleywine.

[The Azacca dry-hop]…gives the beer a big candied-fruit character and citrus, pineapple aromatics.

Stone Old Guardian Extra Hoppy is available in 22oz bottles and draft for a limited time.

Inception Series Potential: Nebraska Brewing Runnin’ With the Devil

Nebraska Brewing Runnin With the Devil

Nebraska Brewing Runnin’ With the Devil is a potential release in the brewery’s Inception Series this year.  (As of now, not officially announced.)

For Runnin’ with the Devil, the brewery took their Fathead Barleywine, and aged it in rum barrels. Because? Booze.

A variant of our Fathead Barley Wine Ale. We’ve taken a massive beer which already had deep brown sugar notes and chosen to age it further in Venezuelan Rum barrels for a beautiful finish and deep maturation. You’ll find it best to share with a friend. And be seated.

Nebraska Runnin’ with the Devil will be available in 750ml bottles.

Style: Barleywine (Barrel Aged. Rum Barrels.)
Availability: 750ml bottles.
Release: TBA

11.9% ABV

Note: This is a “first look” preview. Details are subject to change at anytime by the brewery.
