Boston Beer Company, makers of Samuel Adams, will begin canning soon. Boston Lager and Summer Ale are among the first cans to roll off the line. Rumors of the cans started circulating last year, but no set date was announced. Jim Koch, has been on a quest to find the right can for the job. According to Boston.com, the can design has been tweaked as many as 6 times before arriving at the final design being used. Considerations for the right cans included lid design, lid opening, can linings, and more.
The equipment is on order, expect these cans by beach season.
