Breckenridge Brewing celebrates 20 years of brewing this Saturday, April 2nd. In honor of 2 decades of hard work, the brewery will be releasing 180 commemorative bottles of “Twenty” at Breckenridge’s tasting room in Denver, Colorado.

Twenty has already made limited appearances on draft. It’s a Scottish ale aged in Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey barrels. 180 bottles have been corked & caged by the brewery. Bottles will be sold first come, first serve at 10 am on Saturday 4/2/11. Bottles are $20 each, 2 bottle limit. Trade bait anyone?

BRECKENRIDGE BREWERY TO SELL 180 COMMEMORATIVE BOTTLES OF “TWENTY” ON APRIL 2 AT ITS DENVER PRODUCTION BREWER
Denver, CO – March 29, 2011 – On Saturday, April 2, Breckenridge Brewery of Colorado, LLC, will sell limited-edition 750ml bottles of its 20th Anniversary beer, “Twenty.” Out now in draft, Twenty is a strong Scottish ale aged five months in Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey barrels. The brewery packaged a precious few 750ml bottles with cork and wire bale closures. Only 180 of these bottles will be sold, first come first serve, at 10:00 a.m. at the brewery’s tasting room at 471 Kalamath Street, Denver, Colorado. The first 20 folks in line will receive a free Breckenridge Brewery t-shirt and a pint glass. The second 20 in line will be given a pint glass as well. Donuts and coffee will be served at 9:00, and other prizes will be available. The bottles will sell for $20 each and will be limited to two per person.
Twenty is the brewery’s tribute to its 20th anniversary year. At 7.8% ABV (Alcohol by Volume), it boasts complex hoppiness balanced with traditional English Ale maltiness. Oak and vanilla notes are complemented with an American craft whiskey finish. Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey, located just down the street from Breckenridge’s production brewery on Kalamath, provided barrels for conditioning of Twenty.
