The 10 acre site that Ithaca Brewing Company (Ithaca, NY) will finally see some action. On Friday, the Founder Dan Mitchell alongside the Ithaca Chamber Of Commerce broke ground at the new site a recent press release explains.
The new brewery will accomodate 3 times the current capacity. Ithaca is on pace to produce 180,000 cases this year. After the expansion, Ithaca will be able to produce almost 50o,000 cases. They will gradually ramp up this production over the course of 5 years. The new site will have a tasting room and brewpub (emphasis on flatbread pizzas), a beer garden, offices and more
The expansion is expected to be completed by May 2012. Cost is undisclosed.
