Iconic Genesse Sign Shines Again

The U.S. beer scene is blowing up these days.  While we might not  have the 100’s of years of brewing culture under belts like Europe does, we do have things to get excited about.

The Genesee Sign resides in Auburn, New York has been turned off since the 1970’s due to energy costs.  It’s a lot like the Citgo sign next to Fenway Park in Boston.  Recently, the sign was converted to power saving LEDs.  Crowds of people in Auburn bought Genesse beers and counted down like it’s New Beers Eve (like what I did there?)  to the sign lighting.  Its an interested human interest piece about people tied to their brand.
