Foothills To Expand to D.C., Virginia

Foothills Brewing (Winston-Salem, NC) has announced they will enter the Washington D.C.,  and Northern Virginia markets. This is right on the heels of their distribution expansion into South Carolina.

Earlier this year, Foothills expanded their capacity over 72%, allowing the North Carolina brewery to reach even further than ever before.

“We’re very excited about this latest edition of Foothills growth,” said Jamie Bartholomaus, president and brewmaster of Foothills Brewing. “Virginia has over 50 breweries, so there’s plenty of enthusiasm for craft beer in the state. We’re looking forward to having Hoppyum IPA, Torch Pilsner, and People’s Porter available to beer drinkers across Virginia and the DC area.”

Partnership deals have been reached with several area distributors, including Chesbay and Premium, both subsidiaries of Reyes Holdings. Foothills current capacity is right at 40,000 barrels (or 1.2 million gallons) annually.
