Fat Head’s Buys Troegs’ Equipment, Plans Expansion

Fat Head’s Saloon & Brewery out of North Olmsted, OH has purchased Troegs Brewing’s old equipment from their Harrisburg, PA facility to aid in a $1 million expansion.  Troegs has moved to a brand new facility in Hershey, PA.  Currently Fat Head’s beers can only be purchased at their brewpub, but that will soon change as they expand eastward.  They plan to distribute to all of Ohio then move into Western Pennsylvania, eventually covering all of PA and expanding into New York.

Fat Head’s has purchased a 22,500 square foot facility that will allow them to produce 25,000 barrels annually.  Starting early next year, they will start out producing 4,000-5,000 barrels including their flagship IPA, Head Hunter and Bumbleberry Honey Blueberry Ale.  Over the next three years, Fat Head’s intends to increase their production to 10,000 barrels annually.
