Denver Beer Company Starts Barrel Aging

Not only has Denver Beer Company expanded production by adding two new seven barrel fermenters, but they have also somewhat secretly been bringing in barrels from around the world to begin barrel aging some of their beers.  One of these is a cognac barrel from France that is currently aging their barleywine.  There are also two wild turkey barrels aging Denver Beer Co.’s Russian Imperial Stout.  A French chardonnay barrel holds a Belgian Pale Ale.  After the first round of use with the barrels, co-founder Charlie Berger hopes to use them to make sours.
