Music Fest Only Beer: Goose Island & Rapper Killer Mike & El-P

I love the idea of collaborations and festival beers. The only frustrating part is that some of these great beers

are never to be found by many. Hey, more motivation to get your ass to a festival this summer. Goose Island (Chicago, IL) created Run the Jewels with Atlanta rapper Killer Mike and El-P (Brooklyn, NY). The Belgian style wheat beer (named for their collaborative album)was an eye opening experience for these guys. Catch El-P’s quote about the hops – “they were very familiar smelling.” Get this beer at the Pitchfork Music Festival this summer.

You Can Win Beer For Flushing [VIDEO]


I honestly can’t say I know if this is an issue for women, but guys bathrooms systematically smell like sh*t. That’s because guys don’t do a very good job at flushing. (Or sometimes even hitting the urinal.) Hope you are done with breakfast as you read this.

That’s where this special urinal comes in. This “pee powered” urinal slot machine created by Brahva Cervesa might be the ultimate motivation tool. Flushing turns on the slot machine, where the recently drained have a chance to win prizes including free beer. To my knowledge there is no prize wheel yet for “twosies.”

Sam Adams Catches Heat For “Patriotic” Commercial


Boston Beer Company, makers of Sam Adams, (and brewers in his honor), launched a new commercial in on July 4th. In the tv spot, the bartender quotes a few lines from the Declaration of Independence – a document that Samuel Adams himself signed.

Interestingly, part of the quote that uses the word God was omitted. This some backlash and criticism amongst watchers of this commercial, and drinkers of the beer. Was it required to leave religion out of the marketing campaign? Are we that sensitive to religion now? Is the bartender just quoting a few lines from the infamous document? Sound off. (Respectfully)

No More Pulling Out: Dogfish Heads Back to Four States

A little while back, Dogfish Head (Milton, DE) had to pull back distribution from Indiana, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and Tennessee. As the brewery was expanding, they couldn’t maintain brands in all markets. Good news, Dogfish Head plans on returning to these states soon. The video is hilarious.
