Payette Brewing Announces Cans (PR)

(Garden City, ID) — Payette Brewing is excited to announce that Payette Pale Ale and Mutton Buster Brown Ale will be available in 12 ounce cans July 27th.

Whether hiking in the Sawtooths or sitting on the dock at the lake, Payette chose to package its beer in cans to give consumers the freedom to take craft beer with them on their next adventure.

“Cans are awesome” said Mike Francis, founder of Payette Brewing. “People say they want to brew beers they want to drink. Well, we also want to be able to take our beer where we want to go. There are just too many places you can’t take glass.”

Northwest Canning, a mobile beverage canning operation based out of Portland, will do the initial canning. Payette chose to use mobile canning because it provides the opportunity to get the cans out on the market this summer, rather than later in the year. A canning line of its own is not out of the question though. Payette is exploring canning line options for installation in 2013.

On July 27th, the brewery will be the first place to offer cans for purchase. The cans will be available at a handful of stores July 30th.

About Payette Brewing:
Payette Brewing Company opened its doors in May 2011 in Garden City, ID and has twice expanded its brewing operations making it Boise’s largest brewery. Payette is on pace to produce 2,500 barrels in 2012. Payette has three styles available year round and offers seasonal and special releases from the “Ales of No Return” series throughout the year. CHICAGO – For the first time in 13 years, the MillerCoors Urban Entrepreneur Series (MUES) is giving consumers the chance to vote for their favorite urban entrepreneur. The new Consumer’s Choice Award is a unique addition to the national business plan competition that has awarded nearly two million dollars in grants since the program’s inception in 1999. This new component will allow finalists the opportunity to engage their social networks, for a chance to win a business development grant of $10,000.

“At MillerCoors, we embrace the changing nature of business and social networking,” said Larry Waters, senior director of community commerce and partnerships at MillerCoors. “The new Consumer’s Choice Award will serve as a way for entrepreneurs to exercise their social media marketing savvy, and provides an avenue for consumers to participate in the MUES program by voting for their favorite entrepreneur.”

This year’s top winner will be awarded a $50,000 business grant. Up to four other top finalists will each receive $25,000 grants, and one consumer-voted entrepreneur from the selected finalists will be awarded a $10,000 business development grant. Paulaner Hefe-Weizen Gets Canned (PR)

LITTLETON, CO – There may be just one thing that would make Paulaner Hefe-Weizen more popular among discerning lovers of imported beer: More of it. In more places.  And in cans.

With Paulaner Hefe-Weizen now available in 11.2 oz cans, aficionados can enjoy this refreshing brew at all their favorite summer venues, just as it has been part of German outdoor biergartens for over a century. No longer do fans of quality import beers have to settle for mediocre brews at picnics, outdoor concerts and barbeques. The lightweight can makes it easy to travel with an authentic Bavarian-style wheat beer on the boat, at the golf course, on the trails or at the campsite — any place where glass bottles are not an option.

Paulaner has taken old traditions and new technology to make its much-loved traditional Hefe-Weizen easy to carry in cans that are light and unbreakable — and don’t change the flavor of the beer. Cans protect the beer from the negative effects of UV light and oxygen, preserving the fresh, effervescent flavor in the outdoors.

Serious beer drinkers can also feel good about environmentally friendly cans that are easier to recycle than glass, making it possible for 40 percent of all beer cans to be made from recycled aluminum.

The authentic, original Bavarian wheat beer, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen is 65 percent wheat, 35 percent two-row barley. With its delightful Hallertau Hop nose, naturally cloudy, deep tones of gold, lively effervescence, and big spike of banana, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen is always refreshing.

Paulaner Hefe-Weizen is now available in 11.2 oz cans, packed in a unique full-color shrink-wrapped 8-pack. Because of the lighter weight of the cans, the costs for shipping are lower — a savings of $1 per pack that is passed directly to the consumer. It’s priced about the same as the Paulaner 6-pack bottles, making this beer a savvy choice for discriminating cost-conscious beer drinkers all summer long.

About:

Paulaner HP USA, purveyor of the world’s finest beers, is headquartered in Littleton, Colo., and imports Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr, Fuller’s, O’Hara’s Irish Stout, Fruli, Birra Dolomiti and Dixie beers and Vigna Dogarina and Cavallina wines.  This list of fine imports is now available throughout the United States at upscale, on-premise establishments. 20 June 2012 — Bend, Oregon — Deschutes Brewery is happy to announce that it will begin selling Black Butte Porter and Mirror Pond Pale Ale in Kansas, starting July 16th. The brewery, which grew its distribution network into Missouri earlier this year, recently expanded its brewing capacity by nearly 50% to enable this and future growth. Deschutes will be working with a number of distributors that are part of the Kansas Craft Alliance.

“We always consider all of the variables when expanding to a new market, especially making sure that we have enough beer to meet the demand of our fans,” said Andy Tysler, sales director for the company. “We know that Kansas beer drinkers have been anxiously waiting since we launched in their neighboring state of Missouri. Now, we have the beer, we have a new market manager on board, and we’re working with some great distributors. Cheers to Kansas!”

The five new 1300 barrel fermentation tanks that were installed last winter at the company’s Bend, Oregon brewing facility are now up and running. Karen King, a newly hired market manager for the region who is based in St. Louis, will be assisting in the launch and providing ongoing service to the Kansas marketplace.
