SweetWater Blue has finally been canned

SweetWater Brewing’s 20-plus years of operation have been shaped by three beers – 420 Pale Ale, IPA, and Blue. Incidentally, that’s their ranking in annual sales as well.

When the brewery first started canning in 2014, 420 and IPA got the Continue Reading →

Victory Summer Love gets a new look, 15 packs

The weather is about to get warmer, the days are about to get longer, and Victory Summer Love has returned with a fresh look.

For 9 years now, Victory Summer Love has the “unofficial” start to summer for the Downington, Pennsylvania based brewery. In 2015, the brewery debuted the summer sipper in 12-ounce cans, ensuring the beer’s place at every outdoor event all season long.

In 2018, Victory is giving you more love to drink. Not only is Summer Love sporting a new look, but you’ll also find it in new 15-packs.

“Summer Love is designed for easy, yet flavorful drinking. The hop selection played a big part. We chose hops like Citra that produce a pleasant, citrusy dryness. Brewing a beer light in body with a clean, citrusy finish makes it the perfect thirst quencher for our fans to enjoy.” – Ron Barchet, Victory Co-Founder and Brewmaster

Good People Muchacho Mexican Style Lager is set to debut year-round

Good People Muchacho Mexican Style Lager officially debuts year-round.

Lagers aren’t limited to the big breweries anymore. The demand for craft lagers grew in 2017, and we doubt 2018 will be any different. Tack on a new Vienna lager (aka Mexican-style lager) out of Birmingham, Alabama courtesy of Good People Brewing. ‘Muchacho‘ has begun hitting shelves.

According to the brewery, the initial taproom release of Muchacho as a small/test batch was tremendous, prompting not only the upgrade to cans but year-round status.

“We are really excited to be offering this beer year round, Muchacho was a hit in the taproom when we first released it, and we thought it would be a nice style to add to our growing profile.” – Adam Klein, Head Brewer

Good People Muchacho is now available in 12-ounce cans and draft, hitting markets the week of February 19th.

Style: Vienna Lager
Hops: Columbus, Liberty
Malts: Pilsner, Vienna, Dextrin, Flaked Corn

SweetWater Blue has finally been canned

SweetWater Brewing’s 20-plus years of operation have been shaped by three beers – 420 Pale Ale, IPA, and Blue. Incidentally, that’s their ranking in annual sales as well.

When the brewery first started canning in 2014, 420 and IPA got the nod, but Blue never got the call for aluminum. Love it or hate it, the blueberry wheat beer has always held its own in the brewery’s lineup, but was passed up for canning in lieu of seasonals, and more recently, the Dank Tank releases. Not anymore.

SweetWater Blue is now available in 12-ounce cans for the first time, ending the lurking can question for the “infamous” wheat beer.

Drink in good health.

Style: American Wheat Ale (w/ Blueberries)
Availability: 12oz Bottles, 12oz Cans, Draft.
Debut (Cans): Early 2018

Ballast Point Aloha Sculpin has joined the “Sculpin IPA” family

There’s a new Sculpin launching nationally with a tropical spin. Ballast Point Aloha Sculpin is hitting shelves now.

The story of this new India pale ale is the marriage of tropical flavor forward hops and the Bruxellensis Trois yeast selected for this beer. This fast fermenting strain of Brux lends the beer bursts of mango and pineapple flavors after fermentation. Combine those fruity flavors with a lineup of bold hops and the result is Aloha Sculpin. Also, for you haze chasers out there, this release sports a bit of that cloudiness you’re craving.

We used Brux Trois yeast to turn our award-winning IPA into a tropical oasis, enhancing its hop character with bright and refreshing notes of guava, pineapple, and mango.

The Sculpin family includes Grapefruit, PineappleHabanero, as well as Unfiltered editions.

Ballast Point Aloha Sculpin is now shipping nationally in 12-ounce bottles and draft.

Style: IPA

Mosaic & Citra hops are alive & well in Mother’s Brewing Trop Top

Mother’s Brewing Trop Top Pale Ale hits shelves this week.

Tropical hops flavors are very hot in craft beer right now. You can thank hops like Citra and Mosaic for that. Incidentally, that duo is responsible for Mother’s Brewing Trop Hop.

The “tropical” pale ale is heavily hopped with Citra and Mosaic hops in both the whirlpool as well as in the dry-hop.

This refreshing pale has a big fruity hop punch with a very restrained bitterness. The malt body is light with a mild sweetness to round out the juicy, tropical fruity pale ale.

Mother’s Brewing Trop Top Pale Ale is available in 12-ounce bottles and draft as a seasonal release.

Style: Pale Ale
Hops: Citra, Mosaic

Creature Comforts Reclaimed Rye finally debuts in cans

Creature Comforts Reclaimed Rye will (finally) debut in cans year-round on February 17th.

Reclaimed Rye has been a year-round offering by Athens, Georgia brewery basically since they opened their doors. The amber ale is brewed with rye malt and nuanced with a touch of French oak. The brewery teased the artwork two years ago this month, and finally after expansions, building a second production facility, Reclaimed Rye will finally be available in cans.

A uniquely complex and flavorful amber ale. French oak and rye malt lend to a well-rounded body with delicate undertones of toasted bread, spice, and subtle vanilla. We set out to show a new light onto the amber style with this beer and to reclaim it back from the ordinary. Easy to drink with friends at the pub, or just as good as a companion contemplating the stars, Reclaimed Rye is a collection of familiar voices singing a new harmony.

Creature Comforts Reclaimed Rye joins Athena and Tropicalia, and Bibo Pilsner in their year-round canned lineup. The designs are the brainchild of creative genius Kim Kirby of Young Athenians.

Style: Rye Beer (Oak Aged.)
Availability: 12oz Cans, Draft. Year-Round
Debut (Cans): 2/17/18

5.5% ABV
