Green Flash Natura Morta Cherry, a Cellar 3 Offering

Green Flash Natura Morta Cherry takes aim at the brewery’s Cellar 3 Series. The San Diego based brewery opened a new barrel aged location/warehouse/tap room dubbed ‘Cellar 3′ this year, from which beers like Flanders DriveSilva Stout, and Natura Morta Plum are a part.

Green Flash Natura Morta Cherry‘s base is a saison, aged in oak vats with Brettanoymces yeast, then aged in red wine barrels with cherry puree.

This refined evolution of our Belgian-style Saison is foudre-fermented with Brettanomyces, then aged in red wine barrels with dark sweet cherry puree. After six months, an effervescent crimson ale is released, offering notes of ripe stone fruit and barrel drawn tannins. Retaining hints of earthy wild yeast, Natura Morta Cherry finishes like a fine Beaujolais.

Each Natura Morta release will contain a difference fruit to nuance the wild ale. Green Flash Natura Morta Cherry will be available in 750 milliliter bottles.

Boulevard Imperial Stout Tart Cherry Coming to “X” Series

Boulevard Imperial Stout X – Tart Cherry will soon join the brewery’s Imperial Stout X Series this year. Each release the series uses an imperial stout, and changes the recipe with coffee, chocolate, peppers and more.

Boulevard Imperial Stout X – Tart Cherry uses the key ingredient cherries, and a little lactic acid souring for a new blend of dark and tart.

As a special treat for lovers of big, complex stouts, Boulevard Brewing Company offers the 2015 Imperial Stout “X” series. The “X” factor stands for key ingredients added to each of several different limited releases planned throughout the year. This edition spotlights the addition of tart cherries in fermentation, as well as lactic souring on the brewhouse, marrying robust, smoky maltiness to bracing tartness.

Boulevard Imperial Stout X – Tart Cherry will be available in 750 milliliter bottles. Recent releases include Imperial Stout Aztec Chocolate, and Coffee.

Founders Spectra Trifecta, For ArtPrize Competition

Founders Spectra Trifecta will join the brewery’s ArtPrize Series this fall. ArtPrize is the largest art competition in the world that is held in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Founders Spectra Trifecta follows previous releases – Mosaic Promise, and Inspired Artist Black IPA.

Brewed in the traditional kolsch style, which requires fermenting ale yeast at a colder temperature and give she beer a clean finish without fruity yeast esters. This bright, golden beer is brewed with a trifecta of natural ingredients: earthy, floral and slightly sweet chamomile; a touch of citrusy lemongrass; and a hint of spicy fresh ginger.

Founders Spectra Trifecta will be available in 12 ounce bottles. This is a not a full market release. This year’s competition runs Sept. 23 – Oct. 11th.

The brewery has not yet announced this offering.

Monday Night Tie Four On, celebrates the brewery’s four years reminding Atlanta that weekends are overrated.

Jeff Heck, Joel Iverson, and Jonathan Baker started Monday Night Brewing after early morning bible study. In the beginning, the brewery contract brewed their first commercial offerings before building a beautiful facility in Atlanta.

Monday Night Tie Four On is a Belgian-style quadrupel, aged in oak.

Happy freakin’ birthday to us! Bring on the endless wall post, co-worker sing-alongs and gift cards from Grandma. Thanks to your alleged “craft beer hobby,” we’ve made it to the ripe age of four. You know what? You deserve a present – a big delicious Quad aged on oak.

Monday Night Tie Four On will be available in 22oz bottles and draft. The brewery will through a birthday party on Saturday, August 8th. Tickets on sale now.

Wicked Weed Tyranny will join Pernicious, and Freak of Nature as new bottles coming from the new facility. The brewery has not yet announced this offering.

Duclaw Mayhem, July 22nd

Duclaw Mayhem Weizenbock will be available starting July 22nd.

Mayhem Weizenbock is full bodied and muddy brown in color with a creamy beige head. Dominated by a rich, malty flavor, Mayhem creates chaos on the palate with an anarchic mix of clove and banana flavors from the German yeast used in fermentation, while wreaking havoc on the rest of the senses with an unruly 7.5% alcohol content all the way through to its tart finish. Rules were made to be broken – order up some disorder!

Duclaw Mayhem will be available in 12 ounce bottles and draft at all the brewery locations.

Troegs Wild Elf On the Horizon

Troegs Brewing Co. is teasing a new offering in their coveted “Elf” series this week. Here in July, the brewery has already released Naked Elf, the base beer for October’s release – Mad Elf once again. Troegs Mad Elf is a Belgian-style strong ale is brewed with honey, and cherries.

Troegs Wild Elf is coming soon. A wild/sour edition of the perennial favorite, aged in the brewery’s wood foeders.

Enter the #foeder! These sour cherries are about to join the party inside the wood. #WildElf

No mention of Troegs Wild Elf release. Our best guess is that it will arrive near the October – December range, close to Mad Elf’s return.
