Victory Tank to Table Series headed to cans

Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing Company will debut Tank to Table Series, a new lineup of small batch beers in the near future.

Almost every brewery in the U.S. has some sort of pilot system where the full scale recipes are born. From there, a delicate balance is maintained between the year-round offerings, seasonals, and great small batch recipes the brewers dream up. Those tasty experiments are where Victory Tank to Table Series comes to fruition.

Victory plans on releasing the brewers creations in 16 ounce cans, every other month. The only downside to this experiment is that initially, these releases are brewpub only.

Expect Tank to Table Series to include a Double IPA, Pilsner, and a Sour.

First release date has not be announced.

Victory Sour Monkey (AKA sour golden monkey) gets a new format

Victory Sour Monkey a twist on the brewery’s year round favorite, Golden Monkey is now available in 12 ounce bottles for the first time. The Belgian-style tripel has spent some time undergoing multiple fermentations via three different yeasts.

The first yeast in the trio is Westmalle yeast (made famous by the Belgian Trappist brewery), used in the Golden Monkey base beer. The sour and wild characteristics come from a blend of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus bacteria.

A result of the visionary enthusiasm of Victory Brewing Company’s brewers, Sour Monkey playfully tantalizes taste buds into a electrified frenzy by combining juicy Tettnang and Hallertrau whole flower hops with Pilsner malt and coriander seed before bringing in the fun and the funk of unique yeast varieties. With an ABV of 9.5%, Sour Monkey delivers a punch with the pure taste of Victory.

Victory Sour Monkey is once again in 12 ounce bottles in all of the brewery’s 57 state distribution footprint. Estimated retail price of $11.99.

Victory Jubilee, a sparkly toast to 21 years

Victory Jubilee, a biere de champagne and unique departure from many of the brewery’s styles is hitting shelves now.

Style, Biere de Champagne.

You don’t see a lot of this style running around the American brewing industry. Think of it as the Belgian way to compete with high-end wines. A Belgian ale that undergoes fermentation with champagne yeast. The resulting beer features a lot of that fruity, esthery, phenolic character, with an effervesce of a sparkling wine/champagne.

Victory Jubilee creates just that – a sparkly, effervescent beer with nice fruit notes from German Blanc hops. A great way to toast Victory’s 21 years of brewing in Pennsylvania.

Join the Jubilee as we toast 21 years of Victory! This lush and decadent BIere de Champagne has been fermented with Champagne yeast to marry the lively and effervescent character of sparkling wines with the rich, fruit-forward flavors of Belgian-style ales. German Blanc hops impart aromas of pear, apple, and white grape while citrus and spice flavors culminate in a crisp, wine-like finish.

Victory Jubilee is now a 750 milliliter bottle release.

Victory Java Cask returns nationally (if it’s legal where you are)

Victory Java Cask will return this year on Black Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016.

Victory Java Cask is a coffee based beer, brewed in collaboration with Philadelphia based bar, restaurant and music venue, Johnny Brendas. The beer was additionally aged in bourbon barrels. A picture the brewery posted to Instagram mentioned the beer has been pulled from said barrels and blended.

Victory Java Cask debuted last year on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 (aka “Dark Wednesday”). It returns again on Dark Wednesday 2016. This year will also debut Java Cask Rye.

This year however, it will then be available in Victory’s distribution states that allow over 14% ABV beer. Due to its high alcohol by volume, the beer can’t be sold in 4 of the brewery’s distribution states.

Victory Java Cask Rye debuts on “Dark Wednesday”

Last year, Victory Brewing Company released Java Cask, a coffee bourbon-barrel aged imperial stout. It was nothing short of amazing. It picked right up where Dark Intrigue left off. Now, Victory Java Cask Rye will soon wow its fans as well.

Victory Java Cask Rye is described the same as it’s boozy predecessor, but this time featuring rye whiskey barrels. This release will join Java Cask as a part of the brewery’s “Dark Wednesday” event on November 23rd.

Bad news first. Java Cask Rye will be available exclusively at Victory brewpubs (Downingtown, Parkesburg, and Kennett Square, PA). The good news – Java Cask starts shipping nationally to the brewery’s distribution footprint, as long as your state allows for beers over 14% alcohol by volume.

Victory Selene, a Brett fermented saison

Victory Selene Saison, a sister to the brewery’s Helios Ale, has debuted this month.

While Helios Ale is named for the Greek god of the sun Helios, Victory Selene is the goddess of the moon. The base beer is a dark saison, fermented with both Blaugies yeast (a saison yeast) and Brettanomyces yeast.

Selene delivers notes of chocolate and clove funk, while rye blends with herbal and spicy whole flower East Kent Goldings hops to produce a smooth finish.

Selene Saison is available in 750 mililiter bottles and draft, while supplies last.
