Red Hare Brewing silently closes last location
Marietta, Georgia-based Red Hare Brewing seems to have quietly closed their last remaining sometime after the start of 2025.
Red Hare Brewing was founded in 2011 on Delk Road in Marietta, Georgia. In 2018, it opened a second location in Shallotte, North Carolina. In 2020, Red Hare announced they would take over the Hemingway’s Bar and Grill building on Marietta Square in the downtown area over the coming months.
The North Carolina facility shuttered in 2022 after four years.
Just about a year ago, in March 2024, founder Bobby Thomas announced the brewery would close the original Delk Road location due to costs and inflation and move production to a smaller location in the future.
The Marietta Square location remained open through at least New Year’s Eve going into 2025.
It seems that the Marietta Square location has also closed without any announcement. Google has marked this location permanently closed. Social media and Reddit discussions mention that the location hasn’t opened in weeks now, and the brewery website has been taken down.
Emails to the owner return as undeliverable.
Since the Delk Road closure, no official announcement has been made about a permanent closure or a new production facility.
Currently, Red Hare Brewing has no open facilities.
Red Hare Framboise Saison is slated for cans
Raspberry, spicy, and fruity. That’s how future Red Hare Framboise Saison is described by the Marietta, Georgia based brewery.
The brewery has brewed a French-style saison as a base beer, and is aging it on fresh raspberries. (Framboise means raspberry in French.)
Red Hare Framboise Saison is slated for 12-ounce cans. The brewery has not yet announced this release.

Atlanta’s Red Hare Brewing to build in North Carolina
Marietta, Georgia based Red Hare Brewing is building a second facility, two states away in North Carolina.
The idea to build a second facility occurred with Red Hare founder Roger Davis, and co-founder and head brewer Bobby Thomas took a trip to Oregon. Open air fermentation paired with the coastal climate inspired the duo to build something similar on the east coast.
Red Hare Brewing has selected the 111 year old former Coastal Drug Company building in Shallotte, North Carolina. American wild and sour ales will be the focus of the new facility.Expect the new space to house a coolship, and plenty of oak for fermentation and aging. Red Hare plans on capturing native yeast and bacteria for use their the wild ale lineup.
The Shallotte, North Carolina location should be open sometime in the second half of 2017. Red Hare has already named R.A.Jeffrey’s and Healy Wholesale as their local distributor.
Red Hare SPF 50/50 blends IPA & grapefruit juice, year-round
Red Hare SPF 50/50, once a seasonal offering by the Marietta, Georgia based brewery, is now year-round.
Taking the brewery’s year-round, Gangway IPA, and blends it with their house made grapefruit soda. The end result is a hoppy, low alcohol by volume, HOPPY shandy/radler. If you think it sounds weird, we admit it is. But really, it works.

Red Hare Berry Belgian Waffle, a waffle flavored beer debuts
Perhaps this is proof beer can be anything. Red Hare Berry Belgian Waffle is now now shelves.
This summer, the Marietta, Georgia based brewery released Cottontail Creamsic-ale, an orange creamcicle flavored pale ale. Building off the buzz that beer created is a new food inspired beer- Berry Belgian Waffle.
The base beer is a Belgian-style ale, brewed with bluberries, and favors that mimic waffles. Yes, beer can be anything you want it to be.

Red Hare Cotton Tail Orange Creamsic-ale, a beer dessert
Red Hare Cotton Tail Orange Creamsic-Ale is the next canned release by the Marietta, Georgia brewery.
The base beer being their year-round Cotton Tail Pale Ale, the Red Hare Brewing team has added orange and vanilla, with extra citrus notes coming from an addition of Zythos hops.
The result? It really does taste like an orange creamsicle. Plus a little bit of hoppy pale ale too. Our description might not do the beer justice, but believe us when we say, your nose will know when you open this can.
Orange flavors mirror the citrus notes of Zythos hops, while smooth sweet vanilla beans compliment their slight bitterness. Tastes just like a cold orange creamsicle on a hot day!

Red Hare Long Night Lager takes aim at cans in the near future.
Long Day Lager is the brewery’s top selling beer. Red Hare Long Night Lager takes that beer a step further with coffee from Marietta, Georgia based Cool Beans Coffee Roasters.
Red Hare Long Night Lager will be a 12 ounce can and draft offering. The brewery recently confirmed it will be available later this year.
