Red Brick Slings Beards & Bourbon in Boozy Newbie

Coming in January, 2014 is a brand new bourbon barrel offering from Red Brick Brewing – Beard Envy.  You know there is no shortage of beards in the beer industry. If you don’t have one/can’t grow one, this might be the beer for you.

Back in July of of this year, the brewing team at Red Brick filled Buffalo Trace barrels with a 9% barley wine. It is quietly waiting for the first of the year, to show off what its got.

I’ve already tasted this brew,  from the rack. You love malty, caramel-y barley wines mixed with vanilla/oak flavor?  This is the beer for you.

Beer Street Journal Video: Red Brick Releases New Chai Tea Milk Stout

Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta, GA) has just released new Sacred Cow Chai Tea Milk Stout.

This newbie combines the flavor of chai tea, with the creamy smoothness of a milk stout. Look for this across Red Brick’s eight state distribution network from now until January, 2014.

Red Brick Readies “Sacred Cow” Chai Milk Stout

Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta, GA) has finalized the recipe for a new and interesting brew, Sacred Cow Chai Spiced Milk Stout.

The milk stout is brewed with organic Masala Chai blend from Rishi Tea. (Rishi is the brand.) The tea gives the beer flavors of  black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger root, black pepper and cloves. Those flavors, plus the chocolate-y notes from the milk stout will take your tastebuds on a flavor trip.

Sacred Cow is scheduled for November, 2013

Get Your Dance On. This is Red Brick’s “A-Town Brown”

Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta) is renaming their Brown Ale to A-Town Brown. This awesome new artwork by Jert goes along with the name change. Red Brick is Atlanta’s oldest craft brewery, with Brown Ale being the first beer produced back in 1993.

Those not in Atlanta, the label depicts some iconic ATL things/buildings. MARTA the nearly inefficient mass transit train, the capitol building, the iconic Hyatt Hotel, Sundial Restaurant, Hank Aaron’s 715, and more.

Look for this in early September in Red Brick’s 8 state distribution area. Now finish rocking out. Peace up, A-Town down.

Red Brick Brewing 20th Anniversary Party [PICS]

On Saturday, July 26th, Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta) celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a beer bash. They debuted their biggest beer ever – 20th Anni Imperial Stout, along with a host of experimental beers and one-offs. Of course, we were there, beer and camera in hand to capture a little bit of the day. A big congratulations to Red Brick for two decades of craft brewing. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in the future.

Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta) just shipped 20th Anniversary Imperial Stout. This is the first time the brewery has used Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. After draining 20th Anniversary, the brewery refilled the barrels with a full bodied barleywine, to sit for about 6 months, debuting as a part of the Brick Mason Series in January, 2014.

Beer Street Journal Video: Red Brick Readies Barrel Aged Newbie

The end of July will see Red Brick Brewing’s (Atlanta, GA) biggest beer to date – 20th Anniversary Imperial Stout. The beer has been aging for 4 months in Buffalo Trace barrels. In an interesting twist, Red Brick brewed a second edition of the imperial stout – a double mash edition (even more potent) to blend with these barrels.

First tastes of these barrels tells us you have something boozy and exciting to look forward to. 20th Anniversary Imperial Stout will be available in Red Brick’s 8 state distribution footprint in August, 2013.
